A few days ago I asked my Twitter followers if there was any specific animal they wanted to see from my South Africa trip. The majority said “big kitty cats” so here’s a shot of a Mother Lion who was none to happy to see our safari vehicle so close to her three small cubs! #africa #southafrica #lion #safari #wildlife #bigcat #big5
While all Rhinos may look similar, there are two main species in the part of Africa that I visited. The major difference is in the shape of the mouth. Black rhinos developed a pointed lip used they to pick fruit, leaves and twigs; white rhinos have a flat, wide lip to graze on grasses.
