In addition to the wonderful views of Wiesbaden and picturesque walking trails that you would expect, you will also find a wide variety of more unexpected attractions here. These include an opulent Russian Orthodox Church and a pretty outdoor swimming pool. The journey to the top is a treat in itself, too. Get there on foot or relax aboard the charming, old-fashioned funicular railway, called the Nerobergbahn in German.

The Nerobergbahn is an unusual funicular railway that uses water to weigh down the carriages and push them up and down the Neroberg, Wiesbaden’s scenic mountain. The mountain is a popular daytrip destination for both Wiesbaden residents and tourists. As well as offering beautiful views, its summit is home to a wide selection of attractions.
