"We had a nice spacious cabin with a view of the ocean across the street. We even heard the seals barking beyond. Unfortunately, there is no access to a viewpoint to see the seals, as the properties across the street are all privately owned.
The suggestions we have are: to hand out a flyer with the amenities available to arriving visitors. For example, we were not aware of the hot tub that obviously was available to guests. Also, the cabins have nice patios; however the sun is on them all afternoon, and when you visit in summer, you cannot sit out there as the sun becomes too strong. An umbrella would be great!"
Redwoods National Park - Stone Lagoon Cabin, Beaches & Lagoons
10/10 Excellent
"The cabin is gorgeous! It has a full kitchen that’s fully stocked with everything you would need. The location is quiet and beautiful; super convenient to hiking, beaches, national parks, and surrounding towns. The owner is very kind! All around a fantastic experience."
Holiday Inn Express Klamath - Redwood Ntl Pk Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"I can’t say enough about this staff. Upon arrival at 9:00pm, I was informed that Expedia should have notified me that there was a problem with my reservation. The previous guest had damaged my room and they were trying hard to finish cleaning it. The hotel was completely booked, so another room wasn’t available. While on hold with Expedia, the hotel staff tried desperately to find another place for us to stay for the night. They finally made arrangements with a campground for us to Glamp for the evening. This was acceptable to us (long time camping family) and the location was literally around the corner. The next morning we arrived for breakfast and I checked with the desk staff. The staff member told me he had just finished reading the notes for our stay and told us the room just needed to be double checked and would be ready as soon as 11:00. We spent the day vacationing in the Redwoods and came back to a wonderful clean room. Great job everyone at Klamath Holiday Inn!"
"This was a wonderful place to stay and I totally recommend it for couples. Things were a bit tight with three adults. The tub has a high clearance, so if there are mobility issues, take note. Very quite neighborhood, super convenient to the beach, hiking and parks, great communication with hosts, and I can't say it enough; it was just a charming little cottage. : ) We would stay again if we travel that direction."
"This little cottage is darling! The ocean view from the bluff behind the property is breathtaking. It is just a short drive to the beach where many agates can be found! The kitchenette in the cottage is very convenient and the host had a snack basket fully stocked with yummy treats. I slept like a baby and woke up with the sun from the skylights feeling refreshed and ready for the day. Trinidad is super close and has lovely little eateries and easy access to more beaches. Deja Blue is a must stay if you want to be where the forest meets the ocean."
Redwood Beach Retreat - Hot Tub, Walk to Beach, 3 King beds!
10/10 Excellent
"Another great family visit to the redwood beach house in Trinidad. We love the well quipped kitchen, large yard, three king beds, and walking distance proximity to downtown Trinidad. Thanks!"
"Cute little cottage, good amenities, comfortable beds, but the most outstanding feature is the view and location. It is a perfect home base for Redwoods hikes. Close to town in Trinidad with restaurants, gas and a store. Nearby state parks like Sue-Meg and Trinidad point are also great visits in between Redwood hikes. The power went out briefly, which was a minor adventure since it’s an electric pump and well. But host was prepared with gallon water jugs and very responsive, and power was back on by the time we got back from the days hike. Overall, a beautiful and memorable spot for a family vacation!"
