The hotel is also very close to the ferry terminal — only about a 10-minute drive, which was very convenient.”

“This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem.”

“There was a glitch with check in but the owner when contacted was on scene promptly and the issue was resolved quickly. Property is very convenient for restaurants and although the bathroom is not ensuite it is very clean and modern. ”

“Hands down my favorite hotel during my trip. On the day of my check-in, I made dinner reservations and unfortunately I ran into car trouble so I was going to miss dinner hours by 20 minutes. “We were lucky enough to arrive on a bright, sunny day, highlighting the beautiful view from the Seamill Hydro, which was a great start. We checked in slightly early to be told that our room was already available so we were able to unpack abd then make the most of the swimming pool, before getting ready for dinner. Unfortunately the Orangery was under refurbishment, however dinner was provided in the Aura bar instead. The staff on check in, and in the restaurant, were all friendly and very……
