“The breakfast and kickback are wonderful amenities, especially for families with kids. My issues is that they only have two elevators in a building with 6 floors. That includes housekeeping and maintenance as well. So when one elevator isn’t working (like while we were there) that is a major inconvenience. There were people waiting in line for the elevator in a line with staff and having to take turns and wait multiple times with 6 floors! Also the beds suck, worst night of sleep I’ve had in a……

“We stopped here during a cross-country road trip from California. The hotel looked clean, though the location is a bit unusual and felt very secluded with no people around. We stayed in a suite, but the couch bed was super uncomfortable, came with only one pillow, and had a very thin blanket. Other than that, the stay was just okay. We will not be staying here again.”

“Weird stains on the sleeper sofa as well as the light fixtures. No additional bedsheets found in linen closet. Rancid smell in room, very few outlets. Roach found in bathroom, very stained and mildewed shower curtain. Refrigerator hardly cold enough to store food. Really dingy and unclean vibe overall, and very outdated property. Breakfast pretty standard. + 1 star for working AC.”

“We had issues with hearing the people next door to.much and they switched us room and it was an easy and they were very helpful. The atmosphere is good at the hotel.”

“Staff and services were all excellent. No breakfast included but there are lots of restaurants nearby if you don’t want anything at the on site restaurant/breakfast buffet. The facilities are up to date and clean. There is plenty to parking as well.”

“Booked two rooms. Both rooms were out dated. Our first night tried to take a shower and no hot water. Called down to hotel front desk and told them we did not have hot water the guy at the desk was rude. We asked to be moved to a new room which he did but he was very rude. New room did have hot water but the mattress in both rooms were hard they need to update the hotel.”

“When we are in the Des Moines area we always stay at The Revel. It is clean, comfortable beds and quiet. The bar area is really nice and convenient whether you're having a quick drink before going out or sitting on the patio with the gas fireplace for a night cap. Checkin was super easy and quick. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.”
