The owner/proprietor was very courteous, decent person. Along with his wife, he treated us very nicely. Room cost including breakfast was very reasonable. Location of the property was excellent. 3 minutes walk from the marina and sea front restaurants and takeaways.

The room had everything we needed and was very clean, the balcony was an added extra which we were very grateful for. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. The breakfast was excellent and a good choice of food.

Welcoming, excellent hosts with delicious fresh breakfasts; great location close to everything yet very quiet! Wake up refreshed and enjoy the view of the beautiful bay if you stay in the upstairs bedroom. Highly recommended as a place to enjoy all that Torquay has to offer!!

Fantastic Hotel

What a lovely hotel, ran by a lovely couple who couldn’t do enough for us, the hotel was spotlessly clean, beds and linen where of a high quality, we opted for breakfast which was beautiful, everything cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend The Peppers Hotel, we will definitely be going back on our next visit to Torquay

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about The Hotel Peppers. The location was ideal , clean and comfortable. Good breakfasts, plenty of choice , and the host very accommodating . If we were to go to Torquay again, I would definitely book there .

What a gem of a place. Everything was spotless, the room was lovely and one of the best things was the room had a small fridge for fresh milk, rather than those awful pots of uht you get everywhere now. Breakfast was delicious and well cooked with lots of choice. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area. Very friendly hosts, nothing was too much trouble.

Very clean, comfortable and friendly.

This hotel is not to be missed, the hosts couldnt help enough, they were so kind and caring. Room was clean and very comfortable with every necessities thought of. Amazing hot breakfast with a few options available. Highly recommend staying in this hotel and will definately go back to stay. Very friendly couple.

A welcoming base.

Chose this Hotel as a base for visiting an old friend. The hotel is spotless and the service goes above and beyond. The parking at the rear is tight but there is additional free parking nearby. The breakfast choice was extensive and delicious. The hotel is convenient for seeing Torquay, being within an easy walk of the town centre and harbour. Certainly a place we will return to and can recommend unreservedly.

The owners could not have been more friendly and I think their breakfasts would be wonderful but I just don't eat enough to make a full English an option for me. I was a bit daunted when I saw the steep steps up to the front of the hotel but there is an alternative route via the car park at the rear with just a few steps to negotiate.

Excellent from the moment we checked in. Sam directed us to park the car which was too big for the spaces allocated. He provided us with a parking permit so parking was still free. Room was spotless with a fridge in the room. Bathroom was impeccable. Towels provided were new and fresh. Nice to have fresh milk available from a fridge on the landing to use I stems of the UHT pods. Sam and his Wife could not have been better hosts. Extremely attentive and demonstrated this to other guests who were staying at Hotel Peppers at the same time. We didn’t sample the breakfast or the bar as there were so many places to eat and drink within a 5 minute walk to the harbour. When visited relation in Torquay next time then Hotel Peppers will be our preferred destination bar none.
