A lovely cottage in a great location.

The cottage was comfortable had had everything we needed, the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The location of the cottage couldn't have been better for visiting Cockington, which we have done several times.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Completely unlike any other cottage. The surrounding parkland is beautiful and varies from open fields to dense woodland. Great walk through the water meadows to the seafront. Only warning - there are 3 staircases in and outside the building which might be difficult for some. We would love to return sometime. Olwyn and Trev were good owners. Met us to explain everything then left us with it - no interference. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped despite covid restrictions. A very picturesque cottage which was frequently photographed by visitors to Cockington. Very quiet and peaceful (when the day trippers had gone home - not that they were too intrusive) Cockington itself is a lovely place - great for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the sea front. It was a privilege to be able to stay in this beautiful cottage and the stunning location.

It was a privilege to be able to stay in this beautiful cottage and the stunning location. Ideal for walking,a round trip to Goodrington via Paignton is 8 miles . We used the car once all week to go to Dartmouth. Nice touches in the Cottage with tea coffee and milk waiting. This is a lovely comfortable cottage.

This is a lovely comfortable cottage. It has steep uneven steps up to the entrance, therefore not suitable for people with mobility problems. It is situated in Cockington surrounded by beautiful grounds for walking and relaxing. Our dog loves this location as he has plenty of space to run. It is situated next to a great tea room, for your afternoon cream tea. The seaside town of Torquay is just a five minute drive away. It has a beautiful beach, marina plus shops and bars. A beautiful cottage in a perfect location.

A beautiful cottage in a perfect location. We had a wonderful fortnight here and would certainly recommend it. The walks were brilliant and there was easy access to other popular destinations such as Paignton, Brixham and Teignmouth.

The cottage was spotless, there where plenty of kitchen utensils we made breakfast every morning. the village was lacking a local shop for food stuff. so you need a car. Lovely cottage in gorgeous grounds.

Lovely cottage in gorgeous grounds. This is an excellent cottage to stay if you want to bring your dog away with you. Step outside and you have great walks on your doorstep. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are unsteady on your feet . There are uneven steps up to the front door and steps in the cottage too. You also have the beautiful Torbay to explore where you will find lots to do.

The cottage is in a great location in the middle of the village.

The cottage is in a great location in the middle of the village. Nearby is The Drum Pub, couple of minutes walk, for food and drink the bonus is they allow dogs there. Excellent location for walking dogs with woods nearby and plenty of other walks. Easy walk to the seafront at Meadfoot with a choice of using bus service to Torquay or Paignton or easy flat walking to them Would recommend and also use again.

Good location.

Good location. This property has steps to door as per photograph,but also has steps down to small cold kitchen which perhaps should be made more obvious if some potential bookers are not so mobile. The Drum is handy as is Cockington Country park with nice walks and several small businesses and cafe. Parking up hill, whilst covered by the owners, would again be an obstacle for less mobile visitors especially when there is another car park on level closer.. The negatives are on mobility problems, the positives would outweigh those with location, scenic beauty, decent weather and meeting nice people wherever we went. Also good area for dogs.

Beautiful and homely cottage in a wonderful location containing everything needed for our stay. Only criticism and this is being very picky is the size of the shower. Ruby our dog had a great time enjoying the country park. Cocklington is an oasis nestling between two large towns but perfectly placed for visiting south Devon. Well done to Olwyn and Trevor for making Granary Cottage so welcoming and a great place to stay, we will be back.

4 day stay in Cockington

My husband and I spent the most wonderful 4 days in this delightful, well equipped and extremely comfortable property. Our hosts were there to meet us and nothing was too much trouble. We recommend the delicious cream teas in the cafe next door, as well as the local pub where we had an excellent dinner. Plenty of lovely walks - we had our dog with us - and numerous places to visit. Everybody was most welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend this property. A wonderful peaceful and relaxing stay in a charming village. Thank you to Olwyn and Trevor
