"I checked in at 9:00 PM (excellent experience) Entered my 80 degree room from outside (nice), but noticed immediately part of a candy wrapper on the floor at the foot of the bed. :( I got the room cooled down using the windows and closed the white translucent rolldown curtain. Looking for the heavier curtains to block out the street lights... NOPE. The room was not equipped to block out outside light! I went to bed on a beautiful and comfortable king bed and was asleep quickly, but I awoke, startled, 2 hrs. later thinking I overslept because it was getting light outside... It was not, it was the parking lot lights outside :( !!! That happened 3 more times thru the night!!! I was very disappointed because Holiday Inn Express was a trusted vendor... but not this hotel. I understand a maid missing a small scrap paper on the floor, but the lack of blackout curtains to keep the room dark for sleeping... NOT! I'll never stay in this hotel again. "

"The hotel is in walking distance to Riverfront Park. I thought the bathroom situation in my room was super annoying because the counter and sink are the in the common area and the shower toilet are in a separate room. You need these little tickets to get breakfast and a free drink in the bistro and that was also pretty annoying. But the staff was great, the pool area was totally adequate and fine, and it was fairly quiet Saturday night. "

"We had two rooms. Room A: was dirty, missing a pillowcase, shower so gross we didn’t use, and way too hot despite using the heat/cool system. Room B stank strongly of cat urine and we couldn’t get it warm even though heater set to 80. Will not say here again. "
