Cabin Rentals in Town of Genoa

" Checkin was smooth and quick, staff were accommodating and friendly, the room was extremely clean and updated, and the parking was easy with ticket validation. I loved the ease of finding food and the layout of the room was fantastic. "

"Pros: good location, clean large room. CONS: Advertised Continental breakfast, only Keurig coffee maker available in lobby, Advertised dining room and bar closed. Street traffic loud during AM commute hours. Staff basically non existant had to call loudly in lobby for someone to appear. No ice machine, had to ask staff for ice and was told by one night attendant they didn't have ice! Informed him it was available in kitchen ( another staff member got for us earlier) no one ever came into room to empty trash or give us clean towles. We told staff we would be out of room till late evening and removed do not disturb sign daily thinking the room would be refreshed. We did get clean towles when actually saw someone but dirty ones were still on bathroom floor and trash can still full. We were in town due to a death in family and picked the Gould because of location and amenities advertised. Would not recommend staying here as there are other cheaper hotel/motels we've stayed in with no amenities in the area. We were"

"I recently stayed at the Canopy by Hilton Ithaca Downtown and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and clearly well maintained. The location is excellent, and the rooms were comfortable—especially the beds. Where the experience fell short was on the service side. The staff, while friendly, often came across as a bit disengaged and not particularly attentive. There were small but noticeable issues—like empty coffee stations and long wait times at the restaurant (we were told 45 minutes for food), which made it feel understaffed. That said, one staff member in the restaurant on Friday night made a genuine effort to improve the experience, which was appreciated. With a stronger focus on service and staffing, this hotel could easily match the high quality of its physical space."

"On the plus side, the bathroom had a shower stall, and there was a large TV with cable channels in the room. On the other hand, our room had no chair of any kind and only one nightstand. Everything was unclean, with crumbs on the nightstand and floor. It was a big disappointment, because the hotel definitely has got a potential. "
