A modern mountain home just five minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. On one level with eco-friendly modern amenities, wood burning fireplace and chef’s kitchen, it’s the perfect option for a conveniently located Smoky Mountain getaway without compromising comfort.
The house sits on 2.5 acres on a flat lot in Rudd Hollow just a five minute drive and 20 minute bike ride from The Smoky Mountain National Park and much of the main drag of Townsend. It is a 30 minute drive to Pigeon Forge through a very scenic Wears Valley and 40 minutes to Gatlinburg along the same route or just a few minutes longer through the National Park. There are fruiting apple trees and a perennial herb garden, as well as muscadine vines that you’re welcome to pick and use as you wish. In the spring there’s lots of good foraging in the woods behind the house. Feel free to walk around but please be safe! The neighbors have some birds that sometimes come wondering but they are harmless and friendly, as are the neighbors!
There are three bedrooms. The master has it's own bathroom and a king size bed. One bedroom has two twin sized beds and the other has a king sized bed that can be converted into a twin sized day bed with a pull out twin sized trundle bed. There is a mattress topper so there is no seem between the mattresses. These two bedrooms share a bathroom in the adjoining hallway. There is a very large open living room with open kitchen and large dining area that seats 8 people comfortably around the table as well as a screened in porch with a dining table that seats 6. There is a fan out there which is really comfortable in the summer time.
