“The Second Story is a beautiful old home right on the main drag on the south end of Raton. Traffic was a little noisy at times but not much of a distraction. We had the entire second floor that has a sitting room with a great easterly view of the mountains and mesas that that made for wonderful sun and moon rises. Great little restaurants all over town, which you'll need because there is only a small refrigerator and coffee maker. We had a very nice stay and will be back at the Second Story……

“Pleasantly surprised with this cute cottage! Everything was provided that you could possibly need. Owner thought of everything including dog treats. Very welcoming and attentive. Beds were comfy and the weather excellent. Never slept better! House is within walking distance to downtown. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!”

“This was an ideal stop for our whole family as we travelled through Raton headed to Yellowstone! House was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed! We sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view and lovely weather. The beds were comfy and the house was very well maintained. We had plenty of towels and kitchen items. If you are traveling through Raton, you could not find a better place for your family!”

“I have stayed twice and both times have been excellent..very quiet and secluded except for tge occasional visit from wild life...its a perfect place to get away”

“Booking and checking in was very easy. The area is absolutely stunning! From the great sand dunes to northern New Mexico all are close enough to explore. We came across all kinds of wildlife during our stay. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Wi-Fi is very good. It seems small from the photos but we never felt cramped. We would definitely stay here again.”
