Property is Gorgeous, No Cell Service, Wifi Sucks, and Management Doesn’t Care to Fix Wifi
The home is gorgeous. Beds are comfy, plenty of towels provided, lake views are great, clean and newly built home, well appointed kitchen, was able to check in early, and convenient garage with parking for 2 SUVs inside (a must for the winter), cozy warm fireplace—all around really lovely home. We just wished our experience dealing with Vacasa was different so that we could return some day.
Major issue: the Internet. Hands down. This place completely lacks cell service and the internet/wifi is worse than dial-up speeds. I’m talking 1-3 Mbps speeds. It was largely inoperable when we rented the unit for 3 nights/4 days and, when it did work, only one device could be connected at one time otherwise it would crap out. And by “work,” I mean you could get a webpage to load, but forget about streaming anything or working remotely. Worse yet, when we drove to town to get cell service (yes, you have to leave the unit to use your phone) to complain, we were told someone from maintenance would be out to fix the issue. After 3 nights at the unit, no one ever came and the wifi issue was never resolved. I called and texted Vacasa countless times and was told they were working to resolve the issue. Nothing was ever done. No one ever came and the issue persisted the entire time we were there.
This unit is truly lovely, and it’s a shame we had such a terrible experience dealing with Vacasa because the unit has the potential to be spectacular.
