Property was well located and is very large. Property managers were responsive to a couple minor issues.Cabin needs a refresh …carpets very stained, window screens torn or missing, deck furniture is plastic and mismatched

Spacious home with plenty of room for large families!

This home although spacious is a bit tired and unkept. Dishwasher leaked, high ceiling had many floating cobwebs that fell on us. Back porch railing felt unsafe for children. Master and upstairs bedrooms had uncomfortable beds and all the linens were torn and tired. Paper towels and TP were very poor quality. Text message said my check out was 10:00 am and when I said I needed extra time for a late check out they said , sorry it had to be pre-arranged via an email that I never received! Sent them a screen shot of my contract that clearly stated 11:00! We were out at 10:30 am!

Will Not Go Back Here

We stayed here last year and loved it. This year was an awful experience. We were a party of nine but there were only enough towels for four people. We immediately tried contacting the host via phone and chat and were not helped until 13 hours later. We couldn’t shower. Finally someone called us and gave us the code to the locked closet where all the towels were. Also, the place was dirty. There was a half eaten pear on the bathroom counter, used dental floss and empty toilet paper rolls on the floor in a bedroom. Used tissue stuffed in the sides of the couch. A pill was also in the floor in a closet. It was as if housekeeping missed rooms when they cleaned. Finally, they need to do some updating. None of us slept well as all mattresses were uncomfortable. Either too hard or felt like springs were coming through. The ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom was broken. Window in TV room wouldn’t close. The communication sent out from VRBO is also wrong. I got one text with checkout info saying checkout was at 11 and to run the dishwasher and take out the garbages. Then a few minutes later I got an email saying checkout was at 10 and to strip the beds and take out the trash. This house is spacious, beautiful and in a great location. It just needs a little TLC and better management. Disappointed in the lack of response when we had a problem. We should have gotten a return call within an hour or two so we could have some towels.

Great communication with the property manager, who were very helpful and super fast at addressing minor issues/questions we had with the propery

Lots of space!

We recently traveled here with one other family. We loved how much space there was in the home it could have easily accommodated 3 or 4 families. Noise didn't really carry between the bedrooms which was nice especially since we all have young kids. The downstairs bedroom mattress has a pretty big hole in the middle of it. There was only 1 hand towel in the whole place in 1 wash cloth. We contacted property management about the latter and they brought over more wash cloths within 36 hours. There wasnt and a single pair of scissors in the entire house. That was kind of frustrating because when you're on vacation in your buying food and new items and toys scissors are A pretty handy tool to have around. There was also no binder with recommendations for nearby attractions, food etc. We really enjoyed the hot tub even though the deck is on the smaller side. All that said, We would stay here again.

Lovely Home for a Family Getaway

My family and my siblings' families all stayed in this very lovely and comfortable home. There were 12 of us in total. The kids were all teens. We all felt very comfortable in the very spacious living quarters. The main room is absolutely beautiful with so much natural light and high ceilings. There was a lot of character to the house. Even the garage was spacious for 2 cars. It's so nice to have a washer and dryer in a rental, but this one had a side by side set along with a smaller stackable one. The kitchen had everything we possibly needed. We love that we had access to a community pool as well as bike and hiking trails right in the neighborhood itself. It's very close to Donner Lake and downtown Truckee. We all agreed that we would enjoy returning to this home for our annual family gathering.

Beautiful cabin in a very convenient location.

Overall everything was wonderful. Spacious cabin with lots to do. The kids absolutely loved it all. It took them a while to adjust to so many stairs, but everything worked out . The beds are not very comfortable, but not bad enough to lose a star, in our opinion. We would love to stay again.

Room to spread out

We sacrificed our desire to be closer to Lake Tahoe for the appeal and size of this house and we were glad we did. With 6 adults and 5 teenagers, everyone had a place to sleep, we had room to gather at the table or living area while still having private spaces to retreat to. We made use of "bonus" items like hot tub, grill, travel coolers, fireplace and 2 washer/dryers. There are areas for improvement but nothing that greatly impacted our stay. Suggestions include... hooks in bathrooms for towels, adequate supplies for billiard table (1 ball missing, broken cues), improved sound system, garage door opener, fix or remove massage chair (if it's going to be there, should be working), dish cloths. All in all, our stay was great. Thank you!

Amazing Home!

We enjoyed our two night stay at this property immensely! Large beautiful home with plenty of space for everyone. Dining room windows were surrounded by fresh snow and we enjoyed playing in the snow out back and in the front area! The fireplace put out great heat and could be enjoyed in two different rooms. Upstairs was plenty warm as well but the front downstairs bedroom could get chilly at night. The nearby snow and sledding area would be great for small children, our kids were too big so we made a quick drive over to another hill. The garage is plenty big for any vehicle and easy to get in and out of as long as you aren't afraid of the slightly steep driveway covered in snow! In the house we found quite a few items that were broken or not cared for well and reported them so that Vacasa knew we weren't responsible but it's a little unnerving. My husband fixed the water level in the spa as the low level was about to fry the motor. Appears the people before us had been drinking while hot tubbing based on the beer cans left all over the back porch (and thrown out into the yard) and empty boxes by the trash cans. Oh and the dryers didn't dry the towels so we had to dry them again before we could take showers the first night. We would have loved to stay longer and hope to come back in the summer to enjoy more outdoor fun! This house would be great for multiple or large families, tons of space for kids to sleep. We didn't even use most of the rooms as there were so many places to get comfy!

Perfect Family Ski House

Perfect for large families. Donner resort is less than a mile away! The instructors at Donner are great, and they gave us 2 cards at the house allowing better deals on lift tickets! Can't go wrong with this big, beautiful house!

Terrible management from Vacasa

The home did not have supplies stocked such as dishwasher soap, paper towels, etc. Management did not respond when we requested additional supplies. They said they would come and didn't show. There was a broken window upstairs that wasn't fixed, outlets that didn't work and lights that didn't work. Door on kitchen cabinet fell off. Local management does not answer their phone when needed. Worst management I have ever experienced and I have rented MANY homes here and in other places over the years. I DO NOT RECOMMEND VACASA!!!

Nice big home for family vacation!

We stayed in this property for 3 nights Jan 3-6th (we were suppose to stay until the 7th but left early because another huge storm was on its way). Despite the snow that made getting to the store and around town very tricky, we still had a great week! The layout of the home is awesome for multiple families, plenty of bedrooms and living spaces. Loved the long dining table and large kitchen. Two laundry facilities were nice too. The kids loved having the hot tub off the deck, to warm up in after playing in the snow. The home is maintained well and was nice and clean upon our arrival. A few things to note for future guests- it is pretty deep into Tahoe Donner and we received 3 feet of snow during our stay. The plows were having some trouble keeping up, and the plow for our driveway never showed, so we used the shovels in the garage and the ones we brought, to dig out. We also flagged down and paid cash to a plow driver passing by, to clear our driveway, on two of the mornings so we could get out. FYI- the driveway is pretty steep. Even though our cars all had 4 wheel drive, we still had to chain up to get up and down. But again, we happened to visit during a series of major storms. Vacasa was super easy to communicate with. Sending us instructions prior to our arrival. We also called their local manager, Torrie, a few times with questions and she was very responsive. Overall would highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again!
