Catalina Foothills Gem

We have stayed in many homes in the foothills and this is our favorite. Located in a lovely, quiet well established neighborhood, we enjoyed being 10 minutes from Sabino Canyon and close to a supermarket and other stores and restaurants. The house is roomy, comfortable and very well supplied. Liza is a great and responsive host.

Excellent

The property was great. Have not seen such a well stocked condo including a fresh fruit bowl. Lisa was very responsive even on Christmas Eve--had a small issue and a handyman plus herself showed up within 2 hours. The house also had Christmas decorations. Great job Lisa!!.

Didn’t want to leave!

Such a beautiful and comfy home! Enjoyed the patio and bird feeders as well as the sunken living room and smart TV. And close to our favorite Tucson treasure-Sabino Canyon. Lovely neighborhood (hubby saw several javelinas!).

Secluded Oasis with Stunning Views

WOW! What a beautiful property! The pictures do not do this secluded oasis justice. The house is laid out perfectly. The living space is spacious with lots of amenities to keep you occupied. The surrounding area has hiking trails that are phenomenal for seeing the local nature. Downtown is about a half hour away and the Mt. Lemmon Scenic bypass is about 10 minutes away and was the most impressive thing we saw. The house was well stocked with everything you need to be comfortable. Thanks Liza for a memorable stay.

The pictures don't do this home justice!

This home is gorgeous - we loved our stay here. The outdoor spaces and views are beyond amazing. The inside is beautifully decorated (some rentals are full of leftover furniture - this place has high end furniture). Even the linens and towels were high end and plentiful. Super clean, well stocked. The neighborhood is lush and great for walking. The many extras like fresh fruit, fresh flowers, toothpaste, coffee, sugar were appreciated. No long list of chores to do when checking out. This place is everything that I want in a vrbo.

Clean, comfortable and oh the views!

We had a such lovely stay here. The house was spotless and comfortable. It was built in the 70s and has some quirky features, like a sunken tub and living room - but the important things like plumbing and appliances have been updated and everything works. The pool was beautifully clean, clear and very deep. The views from this house are amazing. The southern view, from the living room, goes all the way to the airport and the mountains beyond it. One of the large windows is perfectly framed by saguaros that are older than all of us. After dark, the city lights sparkle and took our breath away. The pool view is also a breathtaking long view - all the way past downtown to the western mountains. The northern view is the glorious Catalina mountains. I could sit there all day and watch the shadows change on mountains. The location is very convenient to Whole Foods and other shopping. The neighborhood roads are perfect for early morning walking. If we ever make it back to Tucson, this is the first property I'll look for.

A great location and loaded with charm

This house is loaded with charm and character. Beyond the basic rooms, there are several great areas indoors and out where we could sit and read, eat lunch or talk in a new setting. The pool was wonderful (although chilly) for swimming and also as a spot where we could sit together and watch the marvelous sunsets. The house is perched high on the foothills yet close to amenities like grocery stores and restaurants. It also provided a convenient location for getting to some of the natural areas we wanted to visit. The only drawback was that the interior is a bit dated -- bathroom fans are noisy and windows are hard to open. All in all though, we would love to return to this house on a future visit to Tucson.

Style, privacy and views!

Great home from probably 70s era retaining some of the neat architectural features yet still a modern and comfortable home. The home is very private and quiet and comfortable, with beautiful views to the mountains in the north to the city (and city lights) below in the south. The pool is private and comfortable and inviting and also enjoys great views. The outdoor areas were well thought out with patios and seating areas designed to enhance the view and provide shade when needed as well. Well stocked, easy communication with the owner, and really one of my better vrbo stays ever. Thank you!

Beautiful view house!

This house was perfect we were in town for a wedding. It was clean well stocked, we had everything we needed to be in the house. The pool area was amazing and gave us a nice a place to relax.

Amazing Views and Ideal Location

Our stay at Liza's home was absolutely wonderful! The home is located in a beautiful and very friendly neighborhood, yet there is enough space between homes to have privacy. The views in every direction are absolutely out of this world and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool in the backyard. Liza has thoughtfully furnished her home inside and out and we were very comfortable during our stay. The location is in the heart of the Catalina Foothills and close to grocery stores, dining, and recreational activities. Downtown was a breeze to get to. We were so sad to leave such a lovely place, but we definitely hope to visit again next year!

Beautiful private home and wonderful location

My husband and I spent 30 days in this beautiful home and enjoyed all it had to offer. The process of arranging the reservation and making payment was easy and straightforward and the owner returned my security deposit promptly. The house is spacious, clean, and decorated nicely. Loved the quiet neighborhood, the beautiful landscaping and the two patios. The patios were my favorite spots for morning tea, catching some sun & bird watching. The back covered patio is lovely with gorgeous views of the mountains. The location is very convenient. Great shopping and restaurants are as close as 4 minutes away. We found that day trips to University events, botanical gardens, theater, parks, museums and other attractions were within 30 minutes of the property. The nighttime views of the city are beautiful. The back of the property faces the mountains that are nearby--one feels connected to nature from all locations around the property. We fully utilized the kitchen each day during our 30-day visit. We would have preferred an updated kitchen. The owner was easy to communicate with and very helpful. I was thrilled to find this property and I highly recommend it to small and large groups.

Outstanding place to stay in Tucson

This is a wonderful place to stay in Tucson. The foothills setting is magnificent. The house is wonderful with great accommodations and facilities. The owner is easy to work with and very responsive. It is ideally situated for visiting Tucson or the canyons.

Family Vacation

Brought distant family together for week in Tucson and we are totally happy with the property choice we made. Excellent house, great location. Best views of Tucson valley. Convenient to restaurants and malls. Slight issues with A/C distribution to guest room off family room. Every appliance you can think of including microwave that cooks more quickly than ours at home. Very quick response by HO to (1) family emergencies that made necessary stay of extra day., and (2) failed coffee pot (new one delivered via Amazon next day.) Great communications by phone, text or email to HO who responds more quickly than anyone has a right to expect. HomeAway though needs to make their app more easy and intuitive to use for those of us who do not carry Appple Phones. Chuck and Sandy Parker
