The various buildings of the Domaine de Launay, of which the cottage is an integral part, began construction in the 17th century. They were originally a simple hunting lodge before being converted into a leisure property. The oldest buildings are the two courtyard pavilions and the central part of the main building. Several architectural modifications were made subsequently in the 18th and 19th centuries, while preserving a harmonious and unified style throughout.
Since the early 2000s, the Domaine de Launay has hosted prestigious teams every year for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as the famous "Le Mans Classic" event and the French Motorcycle Grand Prix. A ground-floor bedroom and bathroom are available.
A person is always present on site.
