Romantic Couples Cabin near Park Gate Entrance to Sequoia Nat'l Park
8/10 Good
"This "cabin" (see below) was only 1.5 Miles from the entrance to Sequoia N. P. , thus saving mileage for us staying a week and entering the park multiple times. Plus, it was only one block from the Totem Market, which carried ice, sandwiches, beer and soda, had a deli counter and a separate beer bar. At them same time, it was also only 18 steps from the main road to and from the park, and the sound of traffic rushing by was constant. Lastly, to be honest, the "cabin" was actually a duplex type building, directly attached to another, where you could here your neighbors coughing. It did have a lovely back porch and was quite nice to have morning coffee out there - until the 100 degree days took over. There was also a grill, patio swing, etc. and the kitchen had all you needed - toaster, blender, small but very adequate fridge (no ice), microwave, a Keurig coffee maker with free pods, cutlery and dishes. The main room had the air conditioner and large overhead fan - and a queen size bed; but it may not be for everyone. The mattress was high and VERY SOFT, making getting in it and out quite an effort. Fortunately, once one got completely in it and in your sleeping position, it was fine, But those entries and exits were tough. All in all, a nice place but not quite a "cabin" and with the nearby traffic, not quite "romantic". Plus, we did have to call the hosts a few times and they were very helpful and friendly each time."
Red Mountain Suite 1 mile to Sequoia Natl Park!
10/10 Excellent
"Everything at the Rose Retreat was exactly as expected - a location less than a mile away from Sequoia’s Ash Mountain entrance, and only 12-15 min away from Three Rivers dining, shops and markets. The stay itself was calm and serene, really setting the scene for anyone looking to stay close to the parks. Perfect amount of space for 2 people, with well working HVAC unit, WiFi, smart TV, and comfortable bedding. There’s 2 units next to each other so if you’re lucky and traveling as a group of 4, you may be able to coordinate both bookings. Otherwise, we didn’t really hear the other guests and the parking was simple and hassle free. The Rose’s sent all unit information in advance and did an amazing job accommodating our stay. Will recommend to anyone I know looking to visit the area!"

10/10 Excellent
"Location to park entrance, local restaurants, and beautiful scenery was fantastic. Room was clean, A/C worked well (at 101 degrees outside), and once we figured out the secret decoder ring to get the TV & satellite to work, we had a great experience."
