HALFMOON COTTAGE at Florencia Bay Reterat is self-catering and privately located on a 2.4 acre old growth forested property bordering Pacific Rim National Park, within walking distance of Florencia Bay and Halfmoon Bay via the Willowbrae Trail. This is a place to unplug and reconnect with nature and decompress from the busyness of life.
All windows frame in the beautiful old growth forest, making this cottage very peaceful. Featuring a beautifully hand crafted log staircase leading up to an open loft bedroom with a queen bed. The cozy living room has a queen size pullout couch that sleeps 2 comfortably. There is a private hot tub nestled in tall cedars & hemlocks. Halfmoon has a double slipper clawfoot tub (for 2), a stand up shower, antique-finish hardwood floors, cast iron fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling picture windows offering great views of the rainforest from all rooms.
About 5 minutes from the town of Ucluelet and a nice coastal drive to the world renowned beaches in the Pacific Rim National Park and the town of Tofino.
Important Notes Before You Book
Fireplace: The cabin has a propane fireplace (not wood-burning).
Laundry: The cabin does not have a washer or dryer. There are local laundromats available in Tofino and Ucluelet.
Host Rules:
We’re in the exciting process of preparing for the addition of a fifth cabin on the property (completion, spring 2026). You may notice some light construction activity during the day as work progresses. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption minimal, and no work will take place in the evenings or on weekends.
Interested in a group booking? This property has 3 other cabins located on it which can sleep up to 18 guest if you rent all 4 cabins. Please contact Tofino Vacation rentals if you are interested in booking them all.
Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
Age min: must be 25 years or older to book.
Max Occupancy: 4 guests total including babies and infants.
During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 3 night minimum and all bookings must be back-to-back to avoid gaps. If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments.
3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays.
Pet Policy: Dog friendly after owner approval with a 2 dog max. Sorry no cats!
Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!
Cancellation Policy: We offer a 30 day cancellation policy. If you provide us with the 30 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus any pesky booking platform fees). If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.
Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behaviour. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.
