  • Dawn Cottage is a pretty semi-detached house located in the beautiful and historic village of Backbarrow. The property has been tastefully furnished to provide a holiday cottage of charm and character and has the benefit of a private, enclosed rear paved area and small front garden. Its location within the village ensures shops and restaurants are only a short drive away. Why not treat yourself to a day out or a luxury Michelin 3-starred meal in Cartmel, only a few minutes drive away.


    The pretty village of Backbarrow is ideal for exploring the lakes, only a few minutes drive from the famous village of Cartmel with the Michelin starred restaurant l'Enclume, to the nearby fashionable town of Grange-over-Sands which has some great tearooms and shops to explore. Head a little further to Bowness-on Windermere where you can hire a boat and explore the lake at your own pace; or enjoy the Windermere steamer, World of Beatrix Potter attraction or the aquarium. Dawn Cottage is also perfect for exploring Grizedale forest, with its treetop adventure course and woodland paths and trails. Cartmel racecourse is ideal for a day relaxing and enjoying the flat races, a great idea for a fun day out.

    Parking: Allocated parking space to the rear of the property. Additional roadside parking, where available, to the front of the property.

    Heating: Central heating and woodburner.
