Fayette Springs House--Rustic Luxury close to trails, whitewater and winery!

This cozy, one bedroom cottage includes a great room with vaulted ceiling, galley kitchen and two tiered deck for outdoor lounging. The rustic luxury of the decor and ambiance is perfect for a discerning couple or small family that is looking for a brief or extended getaway to the Ohiopyle area. Sleeps 2 comfortably. The Springs House is directly adjacent to the C.W. Klay Winery, 10 minutes from downtown Ohiopyle, and minutes from Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa and Lady Luck Casino.

A limited supply of firewood is provided from October through March.

THIS PROPERTY IS LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 2200 FEET ELEVATION. WE DO PLOW; HOWEVER, GUESTS SHOULD HAVE A 4WD VEHICLE TO STAY HERE FROM NOVEMBER 1-MARCH 31!

Beautiful property and home along with super convenient location. Pet friendly property is a major plus, too. The amenities were ample and there's little you have to bring other than clothes and food. Sitting on the deck in the morning was so quiet and peaceful. Only a few mishaps: the fridge didn't get cold until the 2nd day there (the settings were set warmer), the microwave is old and takes a long time to heat anything up. Lastly and most troublesome, there was a bee's nest in the baseboard trim around the back on the deck. There was a visible hole where the bees were going in and out of but otherwise you wouldn't know it was a nest. While my dog was sniffing around she got attacked by a bee and I had to pull her away from the side of the house. Thankfully she was ok but then I was concerned about other nests around the property. I found ground bee nests around the front of the house as well. The mud build up and holes were prominent along the right hand side of the house near the bedroom window flower beds. I understand this is a normal occurrence but the bee nests on the porch/deck should have been taken care of. We found a spray on the basement and doused the hole in the deck with it ourselves and that seemed to keep those ones at bay. The ground bees we were able to avoid.

Living room was cozy and welcoming.
Nice little library and small CD collection.
Well-equipped kitchenette and bathroom.

Relaxing weekend in the woods!

This cabin was SO peaceful! Perfect spot for visiting Frank Lloyd Wright's Western PA masterpieces. The cabin was clean, well-stocked (in terms of kitchen supplies) and cozy. I hope to return to this tranquil setting soon.

This was a great cabin property that is walking distance from a winery - but was for me even greater for allowing quick access to Ohiopyle (hiking) and Morgantown (WVU graduation weekend at a very affordable rate). The cabin was clean and well-maintained, the decks were very nice for enjoying the peaceful creek below. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the home felt very safe - I’d definitely stay again in the future.

Beauyifully nestled in a great location close ti the state park. Gorgeous cabin with charming details have you feeling relaxed as soon as you step in! Adventurous weekend just staying at the cabin amd campfire cooking. The babbling crick makes a good addition to the back deck coffee breaks. We voth enjoyed ourselves and the one on one together. Will be back again for certain! The construction of these cabins is stunning. Perfect fairy tail weekend. Hated leaving! Host had the place so clean, beautifully done! At abgreat price we had such luxery, tranquility and history! Blessed to find this gem.

The cleaning lady showed up after check in, we had to clean out the fireplace, clean the tub, the towels and linens were left in there and we made the bed after the sheets were dropped off after check in.Second time staying here and this time wasn’t great

Much needed getaway

We enjoyed this quaint cottage tucked away, but yet close enough to the main road. It was just the right size for a couples weekend and appointed with everything we needed for this trip. What a nice surprise to find the Winery just around the bend. After a long day of hiking ohiopyle and exploring falling water, it was nice to enjoy some music at the Winery and then head back to the cottage and make a fire in the fireplace. One note: the tiny TV is nothing to write home about. Consider upgrading to a larger, smart tv, which would allow guests to stream.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. o a larger, smart TV to allow guests to stream.

Quiet cabin in the woods

I had a peaceful retreat weekend at Spring House. The cabin was just as pictured on Vrbo. The picture windows in the dining room have clear views of the woods and the stream. I walked onto the deck to listen to the stream and look up at the trees, even though it was chilly outside. The cabin inside was warm and cozy. I would definitely stay in the cabin again in the future when I need quiet time away. It is also a short drive to Fallingwater, and I enjoyed a guided tour of the UNESCO world heritage house and grounds.

Charming cottage in the woods.

We had horrible weather (rain and wind) but the charm of this small wooded cottage is undeniable. The wood burner was invaluable. Cottage has enough amenities to make it “glamping”, but the place could use some maintenance to make it more secure. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Quiet and Cozy

This was our second stay in this small cottage cabin since or first trip in 2022. Great place to relax in as heavy snow fell overnight. No snow removal services but the driveway is flat and not too long so an all wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle is all that is needed to get in and out. A shovel and salt was provided for us to clear our path to our vehicle. More firewood would have been nice but I found a local saw mill and purchased $15 in firewood that lasted us through the weekend. We will definitely be back!

Great getaway!

Everything about the cabin was great. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. We enjoyed hiking on the nearby Laurel Highlands Trail. The Thanksgiving buffet at the Stone House Inn was excellent. Would highly recommend this cute little cottage!

Sacred spring

There’s something magical about a spring and this one was no exception. Cane to see Falling Water but we decided to extend our stay bc the place was so charming. Our host made that easy to do. The cottage house was clean and cozy and the deck view was amazing as we watched the sycamore leaves turn from green to gold. I had an excellent dinner at the historic Summit Inn just down the road where I returned for the best massage ever. Best birthday ever!
