“La propreté .....beaucoup de bruit la nuit”

“The location is amazing and a great view of Lake Temiskaming. I got to swim at the beach in early June and the water was perfect, since it is seperate from Lake Temiskaming, otherwise would have been too cold. It was a highlight to be able to swim at the beach right by the hotel. The staff is really friendly and they make an enjoyable free breakfast for the guests.”

“The only thing saving this from 1 or zero stars is the fact that they’re trying. Reno’s are underway, but obvious shortcuts have been taken and it reflects poorly on the quality of work. If they’ll let me upload a video I’ll show the infestation of ants in my room. Couldn’t even sit in the couch without getting covered in ants… unacceptable. “well located, clean quiet room”

“We found Balsam Suites to be clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.”

“The bath tub was extremely slippery and I fell on my shoulder and tore something. I now can't drive for a bit because I don't have a full range of motion and I am in a lot of pain. We mentioned this to 2 different staff members when there and we weren't impressed with their lack of response.”

“Very nice stay. Hotel is under renovation, but they are doing a great job to keep disruptions to a minimum. The room I was in was brand new, so neat and clean. The common areas were great, including the small outdoor patio and the breakfast was really good. Love the water infused station in the lobby. The pool unfortunately was closed, but a non-issue for me. Close to restaurants and shopping.”

“The staff were cooperative and helpful. Not bad when all the hotels are fully booked during the CME in Timmins. Had to travel 250 odd kms to find a place.”

“Let me start by saying that Alan, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming, and the room itself was very clean. However, the cleaner used on the tile left a very strong smell that irritated my eyes if I stayed in the room too long. I ended up getting a candle to help cut the smell, which did improve things. The motel itself is quite dated. The beds were older but still comfortable, and the rooms only offer single and twin beds. I was glad to have both a fridge and microwave in the room. The……
