Perfect Texas River Getaway

We were 2 families of 5 each (10 total) and shared a cabin. The space was perfect! You will not find a better spot on a better river in Texas!

Family River Trip

We had a great time. The river was so clear and warm. The house was the perfect size for our family. My only advice to future renters is to make sure to read the entire welcome email. The pavilions and docks must be rented and are not included in your stay.

Great vacation

The house was excellent. The entire staff were polite, prompt, and professional. Cynthia is an incredible manager, she checked on is several times to make sure we had what we needed. The staff was dealing with repairs after the major flooding incident. They were working very hard to put the property back together. I enjoyed the stay and will be back.

Absolutely stunning location

Although a bit on the pricey side (like all vacation rentals this day, it would seem), it was absolutely worth the visit. River access is fantastic, and there was plenty of action on the fishing front. Clean, nice cabins, and very spacious pavilions available for rent along the river. Will definitely be visiting again.

Super Group Getaway

Perfect property for a large group. Lots of activities and lot of space to spread out. The Nueces river is crystal clear and a perfect temperature. Pavilion rental definitely recommended. Bring floaties of all shapes and sizes and an inflator.

Beautiful and restful

Our group had a wonderful experience at The Riv. The cabin was clean, well appointed and well maintained. The kitchen had all of the essential tools and they were of better quality than I have experienced in other vacation rentals. We loved the river access and the quality of the water. We are not experienced outdoors folks, but were able to enjoy the river like we actually knew what we were doing. On our evening "constitutional" we did see some whitetail deer on two separate days, so we felt very satisfied with our interaction with animal life, too! I will be recommending The Riv as a site for a family reunion with my brothers next year.

We totally fell in love with the place. Cynthia was great and was always there if we needed something. It truly is a hidden gem!!!! We were there for 4 nights and there is plenty different things to do. Swim, tube, kayak, basketball, relax. The river is beautiful!!

Great location for any group!

We loved The Riv! We had a group of 6- two adults and five kids, ages 4-12. Everything was just as depicted in pictures, and checking in and out was a breeze. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Great getaway!

A fun long weekend with family! It was a relaxing get away! We loved the river and the fire pit! There is no dishwasher so be sure to bring paper products if you don’t want to hand wash a lot of dishes. Also, there are no skillets but they did have pots. We will be back sometime!

Summer fun getaway

We loved the river! The water was clear and we enjoyed our stay. We arrived on a Thursday and left on a Saturday. The only thing I would mention is if the place is packed, I can see where it is hard to get a good swim area for little ones, but we had no issues and it’s nice that only the families who are staying can use the river on the property. Most of the spots are deep, perfect for older kids and adults. However you can drive to the outside and there is shallow clear water for little ones to play. The house was beautiful and comfortable! We loved it! I would recommend adding a few pans, there were only pots in cabin 1. We will definitely be going back! Just a thought for the owner, maybe adding a few smaller houses, to house 4 people. I think smaller families who do not need a large house would love this and you would definitely book up!
