“We stayed here for the eclipse and really enjoyed the stay. The host is fantastic with excellent communication as we brought our dog and she also has dogs but it was easy to arrange different times to have the dogs out. Her dogs are super friendly, I think my wife wanted to take them home with her. She also has horses which are always a pleasure to see. The cabin is small but really nice. It’s decorated well with lots of amenities. It very comfortable and the Wi-Fi works great for the kids.……

“Spent three nights here so we could run to Canton for the flea market..this is a nice place.. beautiful interior.We fished a little off the pier and rode the paddle boat and canoe in the lake but the best part was drinking our coffee in the morning on the porch and watching the ducks and geese in the lake..This was a nice stay and the Cabin made it one of the best trips ever.. Really hope we can come back again!!!”

“It was a quick getaway for me and my daughter. We had a fishing tournament. The host were great on helping me get inside with the door code. I was having slight problem. It was at 10:00. Appreciate them answering at that time. Place was clean and beds were soft. Bathrooms were modern and clean. It is close to Lake Fork, but on a smaller lake. This is nice as well. Will come back.”

“We enjoyed our Spring Break vacation at this lake house. Our 2 families (with 10 people in total) found the house clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking (we picked up groceries at the Walmart in Athens). The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The kids had fun playing Pac-Man and watching movies. The patio overlooking the lake was perfect in the mornings and evenings. We enjoyed fishing (the neighborhood store had bait), kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming in the……

“My wife, son who is soon to graduate from college and I flew from Montana to Texas for the total eclipse on April 8th 2024. We wanted a nice place away from the busy Dallas area. We were very pleased with our stay. The "Tiny House" was very comfortable, well furnished, stocked with coffee and other goodies and overall a perfect spot for our few days of retreat. We enjoyed the beach and Kayaks and the relaxed lake life very much. And we got to see the entire eclipse event with a few clouds at……

“Country setting just outside of town. Girls weekend to attend Trade Days and it was exactly what we wanted! Morning coffee on the deck overlooking the small lake, games inside during a storm, it was great! Rebooked for next year!”

“We didn't get to take full advantage of the surrounding area of our cabin as it stormed all day Saturday. But, we had a great weekend. It was myself and 2 granddaughters, age 19 and 16. I carried food to cook on the grill, but because of the rain, couldn't do that. The cabin was equipped with 2 gas burners that made it easy to cook indoors. I have been to other cabins in the woods and could not use our phones or watch tv. This cabin had a tv with vcr and video cassette player and the wifi worked……

“I chose this property because of the great reviews. The amenities offered for my children and grandchildren were also important in my decision. Upon rental and before we arrived prompt communication with the owner was very much appreciated. Instructions for home entry, parking, etc were very clear. This house is in a beautiful, quiet community. There was plenty of room inside this large house. The outdoor amenities made it easy to sit and look at the night sky where the stars really are big and……

“There were four of us that stayed at the farm And we all agreed that this was a wonderful experience. It was so nice to wake up and walk out onto the front porch to listen to the world waking up. Very nice and secluded. We were lucky enough to get a tour of the farm and the garden which was actually a highlight of the stay for me. We did walk the nature trails and enjoyed that very much also. Highly recommend this place for anybody staying in the area”

The cabin was easily accessible to the highway and town when we needed to get food or anything else. We will be back!”

“Just finished our weekend. It truly was a paradise on the Palestine. House was clean and well decorated. We spent our time around the fire pit. We fished and kayaked. Plenty of space in doors and out for our group of 9. The owner was very upfront about to expect bugs so that was not a shock to us when bugs came in when we opened doors and didn’t bother us like some reviews. The house is surrounded by trees and it’s a nature lovers dream. The sights and sounds of the ducks and geese flying over……
