After booking, Donna called me to confirm my stay and ask my arrival time. I appreciated it. It was a cold day with a temperature dropping to below 30 degrees. Taking bath in the big bathtub kept me warm all night even without heater. The heater was noisy when operating. Thus, it was good I took a warm bath and shut off the heater.

Quaint getaway in the midst of historic Appalachia

On a trip to do family and historical research with my husband. The entire property was quaint, and the interior rooms were spotless. Donna and Rick were wonderful hosts- making delicious breakfasts each morning. Also wonderful to end the day of hiking in the wet conditions in front of a roaring fire in the firepit, ducks in the pond, and crickets and treefrogs singing.

Really did seem like home!

We didn’t realize this was so rural. But it was really only a short drive to a restaurant. We needed to leave early for a bicycle tour and they were so accommodating serving us breakfast very early. The room was pretty, clean and comfortable. Properly named as it did seem like home.

The owners were incredibly friendly as were most of the guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were staying for a family event so we and it rained but what we saw of the property was beutiful and tranquil. Cant wait to come back!!!

Very personable owner who makes sure that you are satisfied. FYI, this is a retreat location for quilters. They rent out extra rooms to the general public as available. Has a nice public outdoors fire pit.

Best stay ever!

Absolutely above and beyond all our expectations. Friendly hosts, breakfast hot and ready - spacious, quiet, safe. Slept so well here! Super convenient to Penn State Fayette, ohiopyle SP and biking/running trails and so much more. Access to dining area, and game/tv room which was great for yoga before bed.

Great "Home Base" for Laurel Highlands Explorers!

We enjoyed our stay here very, very much! We were there for a full week while we explored the Laurel Highlands of PA. Seams Like Home is perfectly located near all the Frank Lloyd Wright sites, Ohiopyle State Park, the Flight 93 Memorial and even Pittsburgh! Rick and Donna were very welcoming and did everything to make us feel at home. The breakfasts were delicious (get the cookbook!) and the conversation was lively. After our days of hiking, exploring, rafting, etc. it was lovely to come "home" to this beautiful retreat in the woods. Highly recommend!!
