"This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. "My mom and I stayed here for 3 days and it was absolutely wonderful! We got the deluxe room with a balcony and it ended up being two small balconies which we loved. The room looked out onto the water and it was breath taking! The room was large and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was so kind and helpful and we just felt like we were staying in luxury. It’s a European hotel so some stuff is old but it is extremely clean and charming. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Don’t hesitate. Book it! "

"Hotel was excellent with helpful front of house staff. Location worked for us as we could easily walk into the town center. Breakfast was very good. Only irritation was that while it is a non-smoking hotel they allow smoking on balconies and don’t separate those who want to do so from others. We had smokers next door and this precluded us getting fresh air and using the balcony.
