Beautiful Vacation Place

My mother passed away and we needed a place to stay short notice. I found this BEAUTIFUL place and man.....im glad i did! House was beautiful with just the right amenities for the family.....including the elevator which made all 3 floors eqsily accessible! We loved the theater room and the pool table. Beautiful views with dolphins swimming past daily. Already talking about visiting there again!

Family wedding

Beautiful home with all the amenities- our family traveled from all parts of the world to join us for the wedding in nearby Norfolk. The house was so comfortable with access to the pool and ocean right out the back sliders. It was truly a memorable week.

NSU Graduation

Rooms With a View

The property is spacious, comfortable, and has incredible views. However, the property was not ready for check-in at 4pm as promised. We had to wait until almost 5pm. Also, the hot tub was not clean. Once these issues are addressed, we would love to come again.

Locals weekend getaway!

Loved Everything! We were a group of locals celebrating a friends birthday, but also had a few out of town guests! The house had everything we needed and the split levels made it great for splitting up when others wanted to go to sleep/rest. The kitchen/dinning area was a big hit as we cooked a big sit down dinner to celebrate the birthday! The hot tub/outside gazebo was a hit, although it was December we had 65 degree weather but this was enjoyable in the evenings for us. The balcony rooms have beautiful views of the ocean/sunrise. We enjoyed the pool table & gaming area. Although being locals we had never been to the Sandbridge Island Restaurant & took a stroll down there for lunch & bought some t shirts too. Overall, our stay was amazing & the home was beautiful! Everyone enjoyed their selves & we are already talking about wanting to do it again next year!

Don't count your blessings

While there are many good things about this property there are also some problems. The location is great and the home is large but the maintenance needs some improvement. No TV or mini-fridge in pool cabana. Continuous leek in living room ceiling and some issues with the beds and doors. Some of the issues were resolved but others were not. Also problems related to the Continuous dampness in the theater room and bedroom on top floor. The pool, hot tub and beach were great.

Great location

Beautiful home, can tell it’s one of the older homes.… But an amazing location. Used it as a venue for my teenage sons birthday party so the bunk beds came in clutch. Kitchen fully stocked, clean towel rolls for every bed but Water pressure in showers was super low! But My biggest complaint is the hot tub. I ensured the home I rented had a hot tub so the boys could enjoy it during the party. We checked in Thursday with party on Friday…The boys went to get in the hot tub and it was murky, low on water And smelled. I called to complain and ask for them to just tell me where chlorine was so I could get it started… they said they would call me back but no one did. They did stop by in the morning to fill it and put in chlorine but this is now after the party. With the amount of money paid for rental AND cleaning fees I would think the hot tub would be ready to go before check in.

Unclean, Broken, Leaky with a Great View

The upside is that the location is amazing and 20 people can comfortably fit in the house and have their own space and bathroom privacy. The downsides are related to the fact that the house was filthy when we arrived even after it had been cleaned. When we checked in at Vacasa, we were told the house was cleaned and ready to enter. Upon arrival, we found that every surface in the kitchen was dirty and sticky, including the floors. There was a leak under the kitchen sink. The bathroom surfaces were sticky as well. There was hair and stains on the floor, and the shower curtain was moldy. In the bedrooms, there was food and food trash under multiple beds (and in the movie theater room). One of the beds was held up by pots and pans since it was unstable. There was chewed bubble gum stuck to the bunk bed step and the mattress covers were stained and covered with hair and food crumbs. In the living areas, there was food and crumbs on and in the couches and chairs. The outside trashcans were filled with the previous renters' trash and left the entire side of the house smelling horrible. Additionally, two screen doors were broken and a hazard to anyone, especially small children. The outside kitchen area was an absolute disgrace, and we couldn't grill due to the propane tanks being empty. Finally, the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms was shaking violently and so unusable. Again, the house had been cleaned, which is the shocker. This is unacceptable at any price, but especially the price we paid.

Ocean views, great place, plenty of room for multiple families; ocean just a quick walk through the dunes, great for walking and kite flying; on site pool would have been great, BUT it was freezing— should be heated or at least have solar covers; the “beach” right off the pool deck was perfect for our young grandkids!

Beautiful View

Was our annual family vacation. Place was nice. Pool is not heated so was not very usable[cold]. Hot tub needed to be cleaned. House was large. Layout nice. Tv with cable in all rooms was very nice. Rooms were clean. Was a nice place to go.

Couples Getaway

I loved The fact that the home was wheelchair accessible for my spouse who is disabled. Just wish that room had a king bed instead a queen bed. But we managed. The house was everything. We stayed 3 nights. Only issue we had was the fireplace in which we clld maintenance and they came right out.

Not wheelchair accessible

This house might be handicap accessible, but it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are maintenance issues that need attention. There are no directions for ANYTHING, so you have to mess with TVs, vent hood, thermostats, and everything else to figure out how they work. Pool needs a lot of attention. It isn't heated, so be prepared for cold water until probably June. Bring your own food storage containers and things like plastic wrap, tin foil, storage bags, trash bags.

Cleanliness and promptness are an issue

When we checked in, the house was not the cleanest house I have ever stayed. Railings were sticky, food spatter on the ceiling, mold in the shower and on the bathroom ceiling. We got into the house at 130pm when checkin is not until 4pm, so there was plenty of time to clean. Additionally, the hot tub had issues that were not addressed during our stay, so the last 3 days we could not use the hot tub. I called Vacasa on 3 occasions for the same issue and finally gave up. I just don't understand customer service anymore, especially for the price that we paid for the house.

Adequate

This large house does not have any kitchenware for children. No teaspoons- only soup spoons- no small bowls - only giant, heavy cereal bowls- and no small, lightweight glassware/ only very heavy glass glasss, and no plastic for the pool. There are way too many pots and pans for a normal kitchen and the utensil drawer is almost unusable with its giant grill size utensils in quadruplicate. The two ice makers did not work last year or again this year- not sure why Vacasa does not repair it. We had to use the almost adequate ice maker in the living room. The theater room smelled funky. There we some stains on 2 comforters and on the sheet. There is no shade at this house on the beach side- no overhang and no umbrellas on the pool deck. The shuffleboard was unusable. The pool table had chipped balls. Overall, this large, expensive house was ordinary/adequate at best.

Count your blessings

The home was everything it was advertised to be. We had 18 people and it was spacious and had both room to be together as well as room to get away if wanted. There were a few very small issues which we called about and the repair man was out the same day, even though it was a holiday weekend, and corrected the problems. Sadly we won't be back here because of the drastic increase in price but if that works for you, I believe you will love the house and location.

I counted all my Blessings

Beautiful home, well equipped for my large family and a few friends. Any problem that occurred was dealt with immediately by the local company. Situated right on the beach with a large deck with pool was everything we had looked for. I travelled a long way from Hyannis, Ma and we were not disappointed and we will be returning in the future. My adult children and their children made memories for a lifetime. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in this amazing home.
