“This is a really interesting property. This was our first time in Roanoke. Just passing through for one night. Location and parking was good. It's pretty eclectic. A one bedroom apartment in a former government building. Kitchen was great, but it reminded us of a college apartment. Brewery located onsite was fun and it was a lovely day. Definitely not your average hotel. We cracked up at the really big screen TVs in the living and bedrooms.”

“The property was fine, but the front desk staff never told us that parking was an additional $20/day + tax. He simply handed us the parking pass. (This was AFTER our room was not ready at the promised check in time of 4pm. We had to wait almost 2 hours to get into our room.) Nor was the parking fee outlined on our reservation confirmation email from Wxpedia nor the email from Marriott. When I spoke to the manager about it, her reply was, “It’s on our website and all the booking sites. I know……

“The actual unit is very nice and very clean! Lots of small appliances and kitchen utensils perfect for use. Everything was clean and organized. Some of the appliances didn't work however. The microwave wasn't working properly. Otherwise everything else i used worked as expected. Check in was a nightmare! The host was very rude and unhelpful. I had to rely on expedia's chat system with Hala Tysons to get my check in information. The website with the checkin information is so poorly developed……

“We have stayed at this location a number of times because of value received for the price paid. Always clean and more than just the necessities. You could actually cook in the kitchen, which has a full sized fridge. Not luxurious, but quite nice accommodations.”
