“I have known of this property for over 50 years by annual trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I have seen the property in the early years, the desolate years and now as a completely remodeled roadside inn. You do not find properties like this anymore. Everyone interested in history and an excellent stay should book at this property. The convenience of being adjacent to the Parkway is so convenient. The cost of the room is amazing considering this is the color season and the newly renovated,……

“This property is stunningly beautiful. A wedding venue with lovely lodging. Super comfortable bed in a nice room. Nothing negative to say. We were the only couple in the building until about bedtime and someone else came in. We heard them arrive to the room next door, and no noise after that. The town of Staunton is also a sweet, contemporary mountain town. Do stay here if you get the chance. ”

“Very nice breakfast buffet which included healthy options such as fresh fruit salad, yogurt and granola, eggs from hens on the premises, oatmeal and other hot foods. Also had dinner at the Inn which was very good. Cottage room was spacious, very clean and well-appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Ample free parking.”

“Historic house, lovely town, great restoration!!! you can walk to everything with the exception of some of the areas top recreational opportunities like the Greenbrier River Trail, The only issue is noise from surrounding traffic and keep in mind this house is 220 years old - it creaks!”
