Petra Moon Hotel

距離petra入口非常近，大約只要走3-5分鐘，地理位置非常好，很適合到petra旅遊時入住。重新裝修過，所以房間設備都很新。最大缺點是房間收不到無線網路，一定要到大廳使用。

Good value at just minutes to Petra.

Located minutes to Petra entrance. Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of cold and hot breakfast foods. Our two kids loved the refreshing pool on the terrace. When we reached the hotel, the reception did not find the two room bookings we made with hotels.com. As the hotel had available rooms, they offered us rooms at a good rate. Our room was an updated room but a large section of the hotel appeared to be under renovation. Good value at just minutes to Petra.

Hotel practicing overbooking

This hotel is practicing over booking. When we arrived around 6pm, the receptionist told us that our reservation was not confirmed by the hotel despite our confirmation number received by Hotels.com one month ago. They said that our confirmation number is not valid without their confirmation number. In reality, they just sold our room for a higher price. They just offered us a free buffet dinner and told us there is another hotel very far from Petra gate where we can get a room. As we were dead tired, we accepted this hotel which was far from the gate. This is really not honest what this hotel is doing by selling rooms which were already booked by early customers. If you want to make sure to sleep near the Petra gate, don't book this hotel as you may end up sleeping very far from Petra gate. We realized that we were not the only victims of this hotel.

Hotel is Average, but the Staff is Excellent

As hotels go, the Petra Moon is average. The room was adequate, albeit a bit spartan. Included amenities were soap, shampoo and towels. WiFi is NOT free and you will be charged per device. The food in the restaurant is okay, but nothing special. Upon request, however, the chef will make an affort to accommodate special dishes. The most notable aspect of the Petra Moon is its proximity to the entry to Petra. It is about a block's walk to the front gate. This is significant after a long, hot day hiking around the ruins. Another notable aspect of the hotel is the Front Desk Staff and the Wait Staff. All were very accommodating, knowledgeable and friendly. They all seemed to want to make a favorable impression on their guests. The people there made the stay at the Petra Moon excellent.

Highly recommended - great hotel and great staff

Petra moon is a great hotel - from the outside it looks a bit old but the rooms have been renovated recently and are beautiful. The location is also excellent for tourists looking to visit Petra. Even more, the staff here are exceptional. My wife and I were in a car accident and I called the hotel to ask for help (everyone was speaking Arabic and we only speak English). The front desk immediately called the tourism police and had an English speaking police officer sent to help us. We would have been in a tough situation were it not for the great front desk staff at the Petra Moon Hotel and I'm very grateful for their willingness to go above and beyond.

Nice hotel very close to Petra entrance

Check in was very smooth. The receptionists' english was very good. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The hotel is located just next to the entrance of Petra. You may walk 3 minutes and you are at the gate.

The manager met me upon check in, which was impressive, but the encrypted chip on the key card was not user friendly and for a tired traveler annoying trying to figure out... Breakfast amazing and extremely professional staff... Walking distance to entrance of Petra Ruins...

Location and value for money

We stayed one night here and we're very pleased with the hotel and staff. First of all the location, it's a 2 minute walk from petra visitor centre(entrance) and the taxi stand. One cannot ask for anything better. Secondly, the hotel facilities and clean well maintained, clean toilets, fresh sheets and towels and decent buffet. Our room package includes breakfast and wifi and the signal was pretty good. Last but not the least, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Aufpassen!!!!

Kommen ins Hotel und es wurde uns freundlich mitgeteilt, dass Expedia das Hotel überbucht hat. Nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen hat sich herausgestellt, dass das Hotel selbst überbucht hat und uns einfach in einem anderen Hotel untergebracht hat. Daher keine Angaben zu diesem Hotel. Als Kompensationen wurde ein Abendessen serviert.

Comfortable rooms

This hotel is located well and offers comfortable rooms. Compared to other hotels in Jordan the rooms are above average. The breakfast has a lot on display but in terms of taste the selection is limited, especially the hot selection. There is however a chef cooking up fresh eggs to a very satisfactory result so we had lots of eggs to prepair for all the walking. Also note that this is a dry hotel and that wi-fi only works in the lobby which is not as nice as the rooms.

The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. It was my 50th birthday and my partner had brought baloons and banners which the hotel set up in the room as a surprise. This is ruely first rate service! Thank you

Great hotel, ideally located steps from the entrance to Petra. Recently rebuilt, so everything is new. Very good, very generous breakfast buffet. Bathroom was quite spacious. VERY comfortable beds. Staff was very accomodating. Fabulous price for the quality. Would definenitley stay again!

Totally renovated hotel next to Petra entrance

When I checked in, I was surprised to see that the hotel was entirely new and much better that the description shown on the web had suggested. The hotel is very modern, fully updated and in a great location very close to the entrance to Petra. Breakfast was included in the room rate but it was not great. Dinner was also inexpensive but not great. The hotel is excellent, its restaurant is not. Highly recommended to visitors to Petra. If you need an ATM go to the Movenpick next door as the nearest bank is quite far.

Lovely hotel and great value compared to the other 4-5 star competition. The owner can come be a bit strong in trying to sell you deals to visit other areas of Jordan so watch out for that.

Good value for money,excellent location

the hotel is right close to the Petra site.The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms looked brand new.The staff were very friendly and we were offered tea after we hasd checked out. I was not impressed with the food quality at Breakfast but overall the hotel was good value for money.

Nice hotel, just a couple of strange things. When we checked in, we were told about the dinner buffet in the room to our right. We expected to be able to charge our meal to our room, but after we finished eating, we were told "cash only" and had to scramble to find enough Jordanian dinars to pay the dinner bill. Also, when we tossed our dirty towels on the floor, which we thought was universal for "please give us clean towels," the housekeeper simply picked the dirty towels off the floor and hung them up. But overall, a nice clean modern hotel within walking distance of the Petra site.

Next door to Petra!

I enjoyed my one night stay at Petra Moon Hotel, though it was not easy, overall, for a single woman to travel in the middle east countries, alas, including Jordan. Service at the hotel including at the reception, driver who took me to the airport, breakfast room, were friendly. It is so close (5 mins walk) to the Petra Visitor centre that being in Petra right at 7 am was no problem. And I was able to to see some amazing parts of Petra all by myself. The only thing I wish for the Petra Moon hotel is to have a few English channels available in the TV.
