Riverfront Cottage Waipu

  • Comfortable, private cottage situated right on the Waipu River on Cove Road. The River is great for great for swimming, kayaking and Waipu Cove is 5km further down the road. Lovely north-facing verandah is very sunny and warm. The house sleeps five - one bedroom with a queen sized bed, one bedroom with 2 x single beds and a bedrooms, and a divan bed in the upstairs lounge; and has one bathroom.

    Please note that this is a typical kiwi bach whereby tenants are required to take their own linen etc and leave the house clean and tidy.

Short stay for a wedding

We enjoyed our short stay at the Bach to attend a wedding- it was easy to find, and convenient, with just a short drive to town. A lovely place with plenty of character and backed on to the river- a nice place in a nice area for a break!

A piece of the past

A great find in this location and budget. Whilst dated it hold the charm of grandmas Bach. A little cold in September, I wished I’d brought a hot water bottle and a blanket. We’d definitely stay again.

Great little bach

This was a perfect little bach for us (my parents, two teens and me). Loved that we could walk straight down to the river for a swim. Close to town but away from crowds. The house could do with a bit of maintenance, but it is what it says it is - a family bach, and that is also reflected in the price. Very friendly and responsive owner. Recommend. Thanks for the stay!

Me and my three girl friends (age 20) stayed in the cottage for one night as part of our road trip, it was very homely, clean and welcoming! Very well stocked with cooking facilities, books and tv! We had a lovely stay, would definitely recommend thanks so much!

Between Waipu village and the Cove itself, a cosy little spot, nothing flash and no reason for it to be, has most of what you need.
