We had a wonderful stay at this cozy, well-equipped property. There were plenty of options for indoor entertainment, and our kids especially loved the ping pong table. The atmosphere was relaxing throughout our vacation, and the host, Chris, was always quick to respond to our questions. We visited outside of summer, so we missed out on kayaking and outdoor activities, but the place would be even more beautiful during warmer months.

Everything about the stay was super easy and Chris was great at communicating. He provided an extensive list of info about the property and all the amenities and responded quickly to any questions.The property itself was great and the perfect spot for a long weekend to catch up with old friends. We had everything we needed and actually only left once just to check out other views of the lake. I would definitely recommend this property if you're looking for a great spot in nature with easy lake access. I hope to visit again!

Girls trip!

When the vacation plans make it out of the group chat! This spot was a wonderful place to have a moms trip. The house was beautiful. They had a ton of very useful supplies and everything was labeled. Great communication when we needed to ask questions. Definitely will be re-booking for a yearly trip.

Beautiful lake vacation

This property is one of a kind, a log “cabin” (beautiful house) with a large yard right on the lake. There was tons to do, kayaks, floats, games, a huge deck to eat dinner outside and plenty of bedrooms for everyone to have their privacy.

Excellent house and communication from the host

Our family including two small children had a wonderful trip at the Lodge at Balch Lake. Chris had excellent communication throughout our stay and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised that the primary bedroom has a mini split AC unit and the bunk room has a window AC unit so there was AC throughout the home which was an update to the listing! We also used the pack and play and baby gates for our toddler and were impressed with all of the labels throughout the home letting us know where things were. The sandy beach was easy with our small children and they loved playing on the shore and being able to easily walk in the water. We also enjoyed the kayaks and floats. An overall wonderful stay!

We booked this house for some much needed family respite. To start, the listing drew us in with the uniqueness of the property and all of the amenities provided. We were looking for a place we didn't have to leave, but rather just hang out and enjoy. This was it! The hosts provide all a guest needs and MORE! You can tell they really put thought into what people will require while away from home and strive to give you as much as they can to serve their guests. It is obvious that they desire for folks to feel at home and on vacation while staying in their space. The game room was a huge hit with our children and even the adults. The kayaks and paddleboards were awesome, and their location on the water is prime for parents. The beach is set up in such a way that the kids can be playing in the cove with the boats and boards and the adults can relax and supervise. We appreciated the QR codes around the house as well. The owners are super communicative and the most timely hosts we have ever interacted with. Our entire family enjoyed the stay and plan to go back!
