"Room (apartment!) was clean, staff member at reception was lovely and even accomodated our last minute request to have a room with a view for our honeymoon."

"My room was clean with a comfortable bed, a good shower over the bath, and a balcony with a view in the direction of the lake, but the soundproofing around the connecting door between my room and the next one was poor, and I could hear everything. The hotel has its own restaurant, and is close to many others. Easy parking, friendly staff and fast wifi. I made use of the laundry ($2 per wash and $3 for drying), and I also used the communal kitchen to make sandwiches to take out - it's very well-equipped, but I could only find one sharp cook's knife in the whole kitchen, which is a problem when more than one person is preparing food in there. I would probably stay here again next time I visit Wanaka."

"Probably the nicest hostel I've stayed at. Great facilities! great location. Parking is a little bit of a hassle; the 30 minute parks out front for loading/unloading are never free, but the supermarket parking next door works (limited time there too), and I observed others doing the same. Then you have to stash your car further away, but at least that parking is free. The supermarket is great. really this isi a terrrific place to stay."
