The Schwienhorst Vacation Farm is located in the Hoetmar district. The farm switched to organic farming in 2012 and specializes in raising pigs. Of course, there are plenty of other animals to pet and interact with on the farm. Sheep, goats, geese, chickens, a dog, and the cats all enjoy being petted or cared for. The pony “Speedy” is especially popular with the children. The soccer field and the playroom provide additional entertainment. The vacation apartments are ideal for families and groups who want to experience country life in the Münsterland region in a beautiful setting.
The vacation farm is surrounded by fields and meadows. Cyclists can hop on their bikes right at the farm and ride along the numerous bike paths to Warendorf, Telgte (approx. 16 km), or all the way to Münster (25 km). The Münsterland’s network of circular routes offers new possibilities every day. The center of Hoetmar, with its bakery, is about 1.5 km away, and the downtown area of Warendorf is about 12 km away. The nearest supermarket is about 7 km away in Everswinkel. The Vitusbad is also located there, and it’s worth a visit even when the weather is nice.
