“This is the first time I’ve stayed away from home and felt like I was at home. All of my expectations were exceeded. The farmhouse is immaculate. The living room is so cozy, the beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated. Our bathrooms had plenty of towels and liquid soaps. Lisa’s kitchen was well stocked with pots&pans, serving dishes, coffee pots and coffee pods. We dined at home with ease. Lisa’s mom’s homemaker cookies greeted us and it was so welcoming. “We had a wonderful time at the Farmhouse! The house was thoughtfully stocked for our needs, clean and comfortable. The proximity to Shenandoah was the reason we chose the location at about a 15 minute drive to the Thornton gap entrance. Luray is about 10-15 minutes away for groceries and restaurants. We loved the porch for coffee in the morning and we had someone who stayed in the writers cottage and loved it. I would definitely stay at the farmhouse again if I were in the area. ”

“Absolutely fabulous home! Stayed two nights with 8 friends for a ladies weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house is situated beautifully, well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, and had extremely comfortable beds. We loved being so close to the Old Rag trailhead, and also got to enjoy the local area as well. Elena (host) was extremely responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend. ”

“This location was perfect for 16 college friends to gather for a 3 day weekend getaway. Plenty of beds, kitchen space, dining space, gathering areas inside and out. We enjoyed the property for hikes and being in the calm of nature. We also enjoyed the town for shopping, a couple breweries and a visit to a beautiful preserve.
