For such a high cleaning fee, I did not expect to have to make the beds when I arrived, but did find it was in the fine print. The house is in decent condition, but having the furniture all covered with furniture blankets made it feel cheap. The heating was erratic(hot upstairs and cold down), and I was awakened one night with water noises, which turned out to be a flushing of the water system right……

“We stayed for 4 nights, having come from the UK to visit family in Vermont. Excellent communication with Terrie before our trip and Philip visited soon after our arrival to peronally welcome us. Peaceful, comfortable and comprehensively equipped, it was perfectly located for access to town and for exploring the local area. As a retired primary teacher, it was wonderful to see all the old school furniture, equipment and books.”

“The property itself is lovely and as advertised, though as other reviews point out, the hot tub is in an enclosed, insulated hut. This trades views of the scenery (which are great, but not from the hot tub) for privacy (which our group enjoyed). What the listing does not say is that the property is approx 3/4 miles up a 7% grade dirt road that is heavily rutted with mud. We made it work, but Vacasa (the property management company) remained very strict on their 10am departure and were unwilling……

“Charming lakeside cottage with everything you need. Very clean with comfortable beds. Only drawback (for me) was a steep circular staircase. Great communication with the owner, she replied immediately when I contacted her. Will stay here again.”

“My husband and I stayed here for one night during this beautiful fall season. Peter met us when we arrived and showed us around and was very accommodating. The layout of the church is wide open. With antiques, unique collectibles, and interesting artifacts that were placed to be aesthetic to the eye. Yes, there were antique knives and antique toy guns, which added to the unique character of this VRBO. The feel of the house is that it is much loved and there is much thought into what goes in it……

“Location was great. The house was just ok. Pictures are way better than the property. The house just didn't feel clean. Ownership ask you to remove your shoes. But dirt sticks to your bare feet, a lot of it. There was an old hard brownie on top of the refrigerator left behind. Coffee is from the 70's and sad. One tv in the whole house had to move it from room to room. Laundry room half bath is the best . Both full baths are very very dated. And the shower in one is not even useable. It would not……

“We attended a wedding at the mountain and this was a perfect place for our group of 10. 1 Mile from the mountain. Nice little store for coffee, groceries, sandwiches between the condo and the mountain so you do not need to run all the way into town. Would stay here again, for sure.”

“Very nice stay, a couple of minor settling in issues such as one toilet not working but this was sorted out quickly. A minor point was that there were no curtains anywhere in the house. Not bothered about people seeing in as the property is not overlooked but meant we woke up when the sun came up.”
