“Firstly the accommodation is in someone's backyard, not informed of this when booked. Thought it was a house on private property. That was the biggest letdown. Had tradies turn up to do a job at the house on the 25/2 with no communication from people we rented room from. Blocked driveway and lost power. Tradies happy to move cars if we needed. Bathroom very small, tv reception was bit hit and miss Very clean and beautifully decorated Location was fantastic, could walk to most places. The……

“We brought some family from England to stay for 2 nights and we chose the cottage for its warmth and ambiance and it did not disappoint. We all enjoyed our stay.”

“The cottage was lovely although smaller than it seemed from the photos. In addition, the kitchen was not particularly useable- there is a cheap oven with bad electric hobs and a cheap aluminium pan so we had to change our plans to cook in the house. Because premium rates are charged for the cottage, i would expect higher quality utensils, it was really just a student kitchen. Anything we used also had to be washed first which wasnt good enough.Unfortunately i would not stay there again or……

“Lovely little cottage, perfect location we didn’t get into the car once, just walked everywhere. Lovely food available in local village. Loved the river for walks. My only complaint was the reverse cycle heating didn’t work. Luckily the wall heater did. It was a very cold weekend & when I arrived & tried to heat the place up, it took me a while to realise. Otherwise lovely little cottage.”

“Absolutely lovely. A few quirks but overall, a beautiful property with lovely historical aspects. Would highly recommend to anyone who would like a quiet, relaxing and immersive Port Fairy stay. Would book again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend! ”
