Great Location

Excellent location

Comfortable for two couples (only one bathroom so you have to be okay with that). There is a door on the living room with the other bed so it is basically a two bedroom. Quiet, convenient, nice neighborhood. A pleasant place to spend some days in DC.

Perfect location for a city stay!

We go to Capitol Hill every year for a business conference and have always stayed at a hotel on New Jersey Avenue. No more! Eric and Jason’s brownstone was a perfect fit for us! Being able to feel like a city dweller was such a plus! Close to Union Station, The Capitol and everything else within walking distance made out trip so fun Their place is exactly as described and I will stay here again and recommend to others.

Centrally located to restaurants and nice walk to capital. Bathroom good size. Second bedroom is really an alcove with no privacy. Laundry is shared with other apartments. Full kitchen minus oven. Genius use of space! Nice owners- always accessible.

Great place for small family

Great place for our family of 4. Easy walking to capitol bldg (15 min) and first part of national mall. One kid had the alcove bed and the other took the foldout couch in living room. Remodeled bathroom was nice. Uber to most places in city was about $8. Parking worked out great for us, since we drove our SUV there. Only complaint was tv was internet only, so no live TV or cable.

A capital place in Capitol Hill

Perfect place! Minutes from the train station and the Capitol. We were there during some of the coldest weather on recent record, and the owner was helpful turning up the heat and providing space heaters. Responsive, accessible landlord was a great comfort during the inclement weather Fully stocked kitchen was a big help as we were nearly snowed in! a market, great restaurants, pubs and amenities (nails, etc) all just steps away - lyft/uber low cost to many attractions Not wheelchair accessible -- otherwise - a charming, conveniently located winner w/ great hosts!

Watch out for parking on Thursday’s mornings on the street outside the house. It’s has no parking in the morning for cleaning. Caught us out and we got a ticket!

Great Spot for Exploring East DC and Beyond

My wife and I, along with our daughter and two grandkids, spent five very comfortable and enjoyable days at Eric and Jason's place. The location was great--less than a mile's walk to Union Station (Metro) and the Capitol--in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Playground for kids nearby. Don't miss Eastern Market and nearby Eighth St. shops and restaurants! The place accommodated us well with two queen-sized beds and a fold-out couch. Lighting and kitchen accouterments were a bit limited for cooking but we managed well. Appreciated dishwasher, fireplace, and access to clothes washer/dryer. A great value for the money. Eric and Jason were exceptional with their helpful communications and responsiveness. We wouldn't give a second thought about using their place again.

Cozy apartment convenient to the Capitol and Museums

Great location for a stay in DC. This apartment is well outfitted as a home base for both walking and driving excursions to see the sights. Plenty of space for four; our family of six that includes two small ones under 10 were just a little crowded, but we made it work. The apartment takes up nearly the full second floor of a typical row house, reconfigured to give a private bedroom separate from the kitchen/dining/living/kids’ sleeping area. The kitchen is good for warming and light cooking - four burners and a microwave, but no oven. The location of the unit, as mentioned, is great. Not only convenient to the sights, but also to Union Station, Eastern Market and H Street dining and bars. Buses and bike rental stops are nearby, and Metro a bit more than half a mile away. On street parking is convenient as well - never had any problem finding a spot on the block. All in all, a very enjoyable location at a good rate.

Family Trip

The apartment was spacious and clean. The location was conveniently located near Capitol Hill and public transportation. There are plenty of great restaurants and grocery stores a short walk away. My family loved our time in DC and staying at this apartment!

Fabulous location close to downtown in a quiet neighborhood and great local restaurants within walking distance.Hosts were responsive and thorough. Property was exactly as advertised. Parking included is very important in this area. Highly recommend.

The 2nd bedroom bed was difficukt to get out and in if you have 2 in the bed. No paper towels or paper napkins. TV is roku. The biggest challange was taking our luggage up the stairs to the 2nd floor. .it was tough.Allwerstruggled

Just Adequate

The bed in the back bedroom was really two mattresses on a frame rather than a mattress on a bedspring or one mattress on a platform. As such, it rolled and quaked with every turn. It was bad enough that my adult son came into my room and slept there on top of the couch. This was hardly what we intended in paying for a two bedroom place. This is an apartment that could with a few extra touches and maybe a little attention from a handyman could be charming. But the sliding door between the front room and dining room doesn’t slide and screams in its protest to being moved. From the plastic kitchen table and chairs to the thinning cow hide on the floor, furnishings are super cheap. All of this being said, the apt is in a safe, charming and walkable neighborhood. We made it work.
