Great location to see all of DC. We felt very safe. We had an issue getting in when we arrived but April was quick to respond and get us in as well as giving us some great tips for restaurants and the near by market. The place was great for 3 adults. With the stairs and small living room/kitchen area, I am not sure I would recommend it for families with small children.

Convenient spot in Capital Hill

This was a great spot for two couples. It's a nice neighborhood that's close to Eastern Market, restaurants, and the Metro. We had a great time.

Great hosts and home

The hosts were very responsive and accommodating when questions and a schedule change came up before our trip. The home was comfortable, clean, and in a great location. WiFi, access, etc were explained clearly and overall we loved our stay. Thanks so much!

Location,location,location!

Four friends have been wanting to come to DC and do all the museums and memorials. We envisioned walking to everything, but we’re not sure we would find a place. Home Away From Home is that place. Charming neighborhood, walkable to everything, great restaurants, clean comfortable place. We had a ball!!!

Perfect for a couple.

Great location, 1 mile from the capitol. Also close to a city bike share parking, which was super convenient. Very clean, and check in/check out process was seamless. It's very small, but was comfortable for me and my husband. It has two bedrooms, but I don't know that I'd recommend it for more than 2 or 3 people. .

What a cute place

Location was perfect for a best friend's weekend. We loved being able to walk to Trader Joe's. And being able to easily Uber/Lyft to the local attractions. So many thoughtful touches - TVs in each bedroom and kitchen stocked with plenty of coffee ☕ 😋

D.C. trip

We really enjoyed our stay! The neighborhood is wonderful and the home was the perfect size for me and my adult daughter. My only criticism is that it could have been cleaner. For instance, my socks were black from walking on the floor.

We give Tony and April’s place an A+ rating! It was modern, clean, comfortable and in a very nice neighbourhood! Tony and April were also excellent with their communication and most helpful. We are grateful that all went so smoothly!

Lovely home

Wonderful location (two blocks from my family’s’ home), EaternMarket, and many restaurants (most of whom deliver!). Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again! Really need a light over the outside door. Very difficult to see in the dark.

Great hosts & property

A very nice property in a safe neighborhood. A bit far from the metro, so we walked to the tourist sites and Uber'd back at times. Within walking distance of the Capitol (~2 mi). We drove to the property and found parking on the street easy to find. Loved the area - very cosmopolitan! Would recommend over a hotel -- to get the flavor of living around D.C.

What a gem!!

I absolutely loved our stay at Capitol Hill. This condo was quiet, clean and located next to everything. I felt extremely safe, even walking around at night. I cannot say enough about the city, everybody was polite, courteous, and engaging. I can’t wait to come back. and for the record this place had the best coffee selection at any other rental I’ve ever stayed at.

Charming place, could challenge some

Overall this place has nice rooms, neighborhood is pretty quiet but you'll definitely want to rent a car here. Nothing within true walking distance for older or physically challenged folks and the stairs can get tiresome. Good communication from the owners on a couple questions we had.

We really liked the property and location. I had never been in this area of DC and it is very charming. We used Uber a lot simply because it was so hot our time here. Walking would be fine for us given a heatwave break. We cooked a few dinners and breakfasts right here which saved a lot of money. The bed is comfortable and the AC was good, thankfully!

This stay was amazing! The house was exactly as pictured and a bonus back deck to relax on was an major plus! April had great communication and kept me up to date with issues going on prior to my stay! Would definitely stay again.
