“We will absolutely be returning to this rental. The owners were so accommodating and helpful. The rental itself if absolutely adorable. The king bed is very, very comfortable. We had our teen daughters with us and they stayed in the upstairs bedroom. It was the perfect size for us. The grounds outside the rental are adorable as it is situated behind a historic home. Such a wonderful stay in such a special little town!”

“We enjoyed our stay. It was close to Lincolnton where we were attending a Bluegrass Festival. We were there only at night, but it was comfortable, clean and quiet. Everything was in working order. We ate a yummy meal at El Sombrero in Lincolnton. We also drove through the two nearby State Parks-they were really pretty as well. When we are in the area again next year, we hope and plan to stay in the townhome again.”

“We had a good time. The rooms were spacious and each slept 3 comfortably with private bath in each bedroom. The only issue was the hike to the dock and the golf cart died after 1 trip. There was plenty of parking for 3 trucks and boat trailers.”

“Very nice place to stay. The house was clean, had nice amenities (good Wi-Fi, AC, full kitchen), and was in a great location. I do have to agree with another review that the downstairs futon was unusable as a bed. As far as comfort, we had four adults and that seemed the right size for the house. In my opinion, any more people would have made the house feel too crowded.”

“Our family stayed here for a full week. It was just as described. We spent many hours walking in the woods, sitting outside and watching the wildlife. We were able to communicate with the owner whenever we needed, and they were prompt to respond. Check-in and out were simple and quick. We really enjoyed our time away from it all. The only con of the visit---the fish were not biting ;) We would recommend this place for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and just enjoy nature.……

This house at Keg Creek is jumping up to the top of list, and every member of the family agrees. You can tell the owners are thoughtful hosts, with helpful signage and no guesswork; even an “in case you forget” supply basket. It was well kept, well furnished, plenty of space, and indoor/outdoor areas that were perfect for kids and adults in their own spaces. We……
