Enchanting cottage in private lake community

Cottage was recently updated and has a private bedroom, full kitchen, dining room, desk area, family room and full bath with a covered patio for outdoor dining. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, silverware, dishes, and pots and pans, microwave and coffee pot. There is free internet wifi, DVD player with a large selection of movies, X-box with many games, puzzles and many other additions. Non-smoking. Nice beach area on the lake is 3 minute walk. Tavern and restaurant is next to the beach. Linens and towels included. Minimum of a 2 night stay. Parking is in front of the blue cottage in designated parking space, please do not park on road.

Needs a little work

I thought i knew what i was getting into, rustic, small and enough amenities to be comfortable. I was disappointed that the outside was not cleanded up. The patio was overgrown, dirty and no awning. Seems they were not ready guests yet. The inside was clean with everything you need as far as kitchen utensils, shower and bathroom stuff. The bed was very uncomfortable. Forced to pay 89.00 damage fee. There is nothing inside worth 89.00. With just a little work this is shack is a gem and would be an enjoyable stay.

I arrived later than planned so I got lost in the dark trying to find the place. Super cute and cozy. Close to the lake and restarting/bar. There is no heat, but the owner provided a space heater. I love the cold so I didn’t need it.

We appreciated: Communication prompt and helpful. Owners were flexible and thoughtfully held our dates until we were sure of our plans. Kitchen complete, even if cupboards a little disorganized. Bathroom clean, complete. Suggested improvements: 1. Clear directions. Cottage not immediately obvious. 2. Sheets and futon cover need to be clean. 3. Mattress in bedroom sags to middle. Needs to be replaced with good quality mattress. 4. Make it very clear the cottage is unheated, except for space heaters. We discovered the cottage lacked heat by looking at previous reviews. 5. Price seemed high for an unheated, basic camp cabin. 6. The outside of the cottage and area around it seemed a bit junky and run-down.

Adorable.Cottage - Quiet, Friendly and Safe!

The cute puprle cottage was comfortable ans had everything I needed. The.hots Tom and Laura were so thoughtful and accomodating. The outdoor space was the best, i loved the patio stove! I lucked out with gorgeous weather.

Lake community was amazing. 3 minute walk to water. Host was excellent at communication. Outdoor awning, lights and fireplace were a nice touch. Jake's lakeside local restaurant was wonderful, too.

We couldn't stay there unfortunately because there was no air conditioning and it was 90 degrees.

The owners were super nice but it is not a place for the hot summer months.
