You have everything you need, the decor is very cool with a 40’s cabin/Mid Century Modern feel and hosts are so gracious. I would highly recommend The Kern River House!”

“They did a great job of restoring this caboose and making it a great little getaway for those who love trains and want a cozy little place trackside to watch. So much interesting things to see and do around here, the caboose was filled with interesting pictures, books, and even a radio scanner to listen to the train crews. There was a beautiful deck to watch the trains passing by, and a comfortable bed to sleep in at night. We will definitely return!”

“Our family trip to this wonderful ranch consisted of 4 Adults, 2 Young Adults and one Teenager. Across the board we all enjoyed the property immensely!! From hanging out in the water meadow, walking to the river, exploring the barn, ineracting with friendly horses, camping out on the property to visiting the town for a local brew. Amelia, was wonderful to communicate with and was always avaliable if I had a question. Our favorite part of this historic place is the character and charm it has held……

“This beautiful home sits right on the river and the outdoor landscape is beautifully done. Loved lounging by the river watching rafters go by while my husband fly fished down below. We stayed on the bottom part of the house called River’s Edge. Perfect for a couple’s retreat away. Rod and Carol were so accommodating and you can tell they put a lot of pride into their home. Excited to rent the whole house and do a couples trip with our friends soon.”

I loved that the cottage was pet friendly and our dog had the time of her life seeing the amazing horses at the ranch. The community is amazing for hiking and outdoor adventures.
