"The lobby area is nice and clean but the rooms and carpet throughout could use some care. It is a beach hotel so not sure how much cleaner it could feel but it felt a tad outdated as far as the room was
concerned as well as the restroom area/shower. We had a partial ocean view and the view did not disappoint, I was disappointed with the response from the hotel pool concierge and spa. I was trying to make things special to pre book ocean view massages and special greeting for our 20yr anniversary. The spa responded right away and then ghosted me and would not respond to my follow up emails. Of course when I arriveded and went to confirm what I asked for the date /time was unavailable. So, we opted to not do the spa.
I prebooked a cabana and although they also didn’t answer an email prior to arrival, the booking went through fine. It was also easy enough to book a pod mid week instead of in advance. The Cabana I reserved was #2. Hammock and two chairs. It was one of the only cabanas with the least view obstruction seeing how there are about 6 rows deep of chairs and umbrellas leading to the ocean view. That was a bummer. Also, the cabanas are super close to eachother. We really enjoyed the pod the best.The coffee exchange was excellent for coffee. One clerk was not very friendly but the doormen and other concierge were great overall. food: Beachhouse is upscale and pricy, but my husband enjoyed every dish he had there, crab cake, lobster and shrimp pasta the best."
