「The strong odor that greets you, should’ve been our first sign to leave. This place is not updated. It was a private room but a shared building, which was surprising. The unit was old, not updated, and appeared that the owner just found cheap old furniture. There were no spare linens, stains on the walls/ceilings, and none of the windows would lock, meaning anyone could open them from the outside. It is a huge safety concern.」

「The host was wonderful...made sure everything was set for the stay. The location was very convenient for the horse show and in a lovely, secluded spot. Quiet and serene. The bed was very comfortable. There were some issues with the unit which I passed along to the host. Because of the wooded locale, there is a prevalent musty smell which did not dissipate. Imo, the place seems a bit tired.」

「Beds were comfortable for our one night stay, but it would have been helpful to know before final check-in instructions that the room was over a garage, requiring climbing steps to access. Construction was in process to install fencing and it was difficult to maneuver around the on-site dumpster to access the two visitor parking spots for guests.」

「This was a cute little rental that was as described. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were accommodating and very responsive. I was impressed to learn it’s been in service for over 20 years. Loved the clubhouse and general atmosphere— reminded me of family vacations as a child in the 1990s… so quaint!! Reception and WiFi is not terrific so it was a great opportunity to play games as a family and take to the outdoors. We plan to return next year. Thank you!!!」

「What I’m writing is not the fault of the property—they don’t control the weather—but just information for future travelers so they can plan better than we did. This is really more of a winter resort. We stayed in the summer during an unprecedented heat wave. There was one tiny window AC unit and a big ceiling fan. Both worked great but not sufficient for the space. No prob, we thought we’ll open windows at night when it cools off…except there’s no window upstairs where it’s hot. Just a patio door...

「Was great enjoyed fishing and early check in. The parking for four cars was too tight and had to park truck tight next to trees. Humidifier leaked and had to unplug it and use towel to mop it up. Coffee maker is drip coffee pot not Keurig FYI」
