“Very chill, family-run place. It’s almost like walking into a family cottage than a hotel, in a good way. We stayed only for a few hours - we had checked out of a different hotel in Goreme in the morning, and had all day to explore Avanos until our flight at night. We also wanted to catch some sleep before our flight so Akman was perfect since the rooms were very inexpensive. This is a hotel converted from a historical stone house which belonged to the owners for the last almost 300 years. Conversion was done flawlessly. The hotel is a family run business. The owner, Miss Ulku, was an excellent host. Paid attention to every single detail during our stay. Provided breakfast was excellent every day. Will return to this place with 100% certainty.
