Functional house in a central location

The property could do with a deep clean and lick of paint in some areas, the bathroom and kitchen felt very tired. Given the price we paid compared to other properties this didn’t feel good value for money. Simple things like more kitchen utensils (one set of cutlery per person is not sufficient) could help. However, the house was spacious for a family of 4 plus dog, warm, and the location was very good, less than a ten min walk to the centre of Whitby which is why my rating is 4.
