Alaska Villa
The villa at Nancy Lake was the perfect central location for our Alaskan vacation. The lake was beautiful and relaxing. The beds held our family of 6 comfortably. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck enjoying the midnight sun. Theresa and Jim were wonderful hosts.

Wonderful property

Perfect stay
We had such a wonderful time. The property was perfect, every amenity of home and more. The lake was perfect and the owners provide kayaks, a canoe and a stand up paddle board. There’s a great fire ring by the water. They really thought of every detail. They are kind and welcoming hosts. Perfect for our family getaway.

Beautiful property and amazing views! Everything that you need in one place, very nice property and very well maintained. Very comfortable for 6 and we stayed 10 days. The owners very nice and polite, and always makes sure that we had everything we needed as well as giving us ideas for places to visit. Alaska is a beautiful state and The Villa is in a perfect centric spot if you want to visit Denali, Palmer, Talkeetna, and Anchorage where most of the attractions are located. Or if you want to spend a day on the Villa, go to the lake and enjoy the water toys and chill with a good book on the porch.

Great lakeside headquarters for a few days!
One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Theresa, Jim, and family were kind hosts. House has everything you could need. You’re within an hour of Talkeetna or Hatchers Pass if you want to explore, or just chill by the lake. There is a flight of stairs up to the house, and a short but sloped little trail down to a flat dock area, so just be advised if someone in the group has mobility issues. Would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. It was right on the lake with a beautiful view and it had all the necessary amenities. The property manager was right there in a cabin on the property as well to assist us if we needed anything. It was a wonderfully pleasant stay and we will consider the property again next time we are planning a vacation in Alaska.

Heavenly retreat
Our family spent the weekend in this heavenly winter wonderland! Close to friends and the Official Iditarod start... morning looking over the lake with sunshine and evenings with the moon shining and special appearance of Lady aurora . It was the perfect place for the weekend!!

Simply amazing.
This is definitely a hidden jewel. The property is well maintained, stocked, and clean. The location was perfect for my family and the access to water equipment was a huge bonus. Our hosts were kind, friendly, and respectful. Can't wait to return.

What an enjoyable week stay during our Alaska vacation. Hosts are great and the property is gorgeous. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking. This location is perfect to explore the surrounding region. We toured Denali, Hatcher Pass and Independence Mine. We are already planning on our next trip to the Last Frontier and will stay on Nancy Lake if we are able. Thank you for everything.

The house is as described. The owners home is on the property - he is a very nice friendly person (no issues). The beds are comfortable and the deck is a wonderful place to relax. We used the kayaks and enjoyed being on Lake Nancy very much.

Outstanding property
The Wolcott Villa is one of the best VRBO properties we have visited. The location is beautiful and the house is absolutely stunning. The views from the main floor and master bedroom reading area are gorgeous and the house is extremely well equipped. The owners were very responsive and had a wealth of information on the lake and surrounding area. Our only regret is that we did not book a longer stay.

Alaskan retirement vacation
Renting the Nancy Lake Villa from Jim and Theresa Walcott couldn’t have been any easier! We originally booked our trip for travel in Aug. 2020, and Theresa allowed us to reschedule due to Covid restrictions in our state. They are wonderful hosts.

Heaven on the lake
What can we say that hasn’t already been said? Beautiful lane home, great hosts and a beautiful view. We were there with my 80 year old parents and even they managed the steps and the walk to the lake but do take it into consideration if you have anyone in your party that has mobility issues. There are steps and the walk back up from the lake will make you winded. Otherwise, book this and enjoy!

It was like home!
This was a wonderful place to stay for my family as they trekked all over Alaska from Anchorage to Denali. The owners were very friendly offered great advice and made us feel at home. The lake was beautiful and we had gorgeous sunny weather to enjoy the water and wildlife.

Great place for adventure or relaxation
This location was perfect for some relaxation during our Alaska stay. We had a great time on the paddleboards and kayaks. Caught some fish and played games on the deck. It was hot when we were there, so the lack of AC was a little rough but overall very nice! The owners and groundskeeper were extremely friendly and helpful!

Nancy Lake Villa was exactly as listed and beyond our expectations. The hosts were so hospitable and accommodating. Great Girls Getaway
We were a group of 4 30-somethings on a girls getaway and this property was the perfect size for us. Kitchen was well equipped, we didn’t drive anywhere all weekend because we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the upstairs shower even has two shower heads! The hosts were so friendly and had lots of great tips about where to kayak around the lake. It was not a problem for us at all, but the buildings where the owners and the care taker live are very close to the rental house, so if you’re looking for “secluded” this would not align with that. The hill to and from the lake is also very steep, again not a problem for us but I could see how it might be for some people. Would definitely recommend this property or stay here again!

Quiet lakeside retreat
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Villa, which we found to be exactly as pictured. The kitchen was well-stocked with all of the equipment we needed for four days of cooking, and the knives were even sharp! The hosts were very helpful and accommodating and they responded quickly to our questions. Their adult son, who also happened to visit the property during our stay, was also extremely polite and helpful. We adults loved being able to ski directly from the property, while the kids were thrilled to see the large game selection.

Great House for family with teens
Our family loved this house. The lake is beautiful. We were able to take walks, paddle board and just be outside. Our teens even loved it. This was central for us to go to Whittier and Talkeetna/ Denali State Park. We also enjoyed sitting out and watching the lake during the day and the stars at night. We would be happy to stay here again if we are fortunate enough to come back to Alaska!! I highly recommend this house.
