Wilmington Marathon

The family stayed here for the ILM marathon. Fantastic location adjacent to the pier and starting line. Very clean, well-kept home. Would rent again for sure

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a perfect house for our family. Very attractive and comfortable decor. Comfy beds. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and throughout the house. The owners pay attention to so many details - from labeling all the light switches to leaving a great selection of books, games, and puzzles. There was plenty of seating, glassware, and cutlery - making it an easy gathering place for our extended family to meet for dinner and games. We loved the string of lights around the balcony (: Location is great for walking to restaurants, coffee shop and Kohl's ice cream. Just perfect! Two suggestions - a ceiling fan for the main balcony and small rugs inside each balcony door to help us keep your floors clean! Bottom line: the place is GREAT!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the property and the layout was excellent. Since it is a two story home, it needs to have separate a/c units. The upstairs never really cooled down and the one unit was insufficient to cool the whole house. Intracoastal wdid not followup on two maintence requests. On Tuesday we called about a drain in the upstairs bathroom flowing to slowly and now one ever came out to fix it. On Friday morning at 7am the tv downstairs went out and even after two phone calls no one ever came out to fix it. These are two items that could be easily fixed and make the property great,

Million dollar view and amazing beach!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There is nothing like watching the waves, surfers, and dolphins right out your window! Sitting on the uncovered deck soaking up the sun, watching sun rise or sunset, or covered deck watching the rain over the ocean. The accommodations had everything we needed. There was plenty of room in the living room for 4 adults. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchen could us a bit of updating, but the location and comfort were wonderful! Due to COVID we opted for eating in or take out. We clocked thousands of steps walking the beach, streets, visiting Topsail and Carolina beach, River walk, and Fort. We had a repair issue which Intracoastal was quick to respond to with repairmen. The owner checked in with us the first day to welcome us and to let us know if we needed anything to just give a call. One thing we did miss was a gas grill, we are used to grilling in VT year round. Highly recommend for a winter get away. Temperature ran mostly 40’s January and first half February, then finally got some 50’s and 60’s into first week of March. It was a rainy cold winter for NC this year. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

The home came well stocked and the walk to the beach was easy peasy. My only con is there is one HVAC unit so it can get pretty hot upstairs. Thankfully the owners provided fans and it helped cool off upstairs some. I recommend and would stay again!

Great location. Clean and maintained. Keyless entry was wonderful. Plenty of parking. Outside shower very convenient. Our long standing traditions were not possible this year due to covid but plenty of places to get take out from (Poe’s Tavern, Tower 7, Mellow Mushroom, South Beach Grill to name a few). We limited our usual daily trips to WINGS and REDIX but really all you need is right outside your door - THE BEACH!

Patch of a Paradise was just that! Great location on the beach. Patios galore that made it where teenagers and adults could have their privacy with a view! We loved it!

Long weekend

I came with my wife and 3 kids. We went into the weekend having never stayed here before and hoping the other reviews were accurate...they were. The location is great, the place was very clean and the management company was easy to deal with. The only reason the place is a 4 versus a 5 is that it’s slightly dated as you can see by the pictures and the AC doesn’t work great upstairs...it was a little warm. With that being said we would definitely stay here again.

There are four deck/balconies so you can watch the sunrise and sunset from the house. The bedrooms are spacious. The kitchen is well outfitted. Cabinets and light switches are labelled. The bathrooms could be updated, but this is a beach rental so we understand. There is a hose in the driveway to wash off the salt on your car and beach things as you depart. I suggest the owner install a door to the outdoor shower. It has keyless entry so we went directly to the house and did not have to go to the rental property office. The house is located in a great section of the beach near the Oceanic and convenient for surfers.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this property for the past 4 years and love the location. The newly renovated property is wonderful! This year, however, the property was not cleaned well prior to our arrival. We found cereal spilled on the floor, empty water bottles laying around and, worst of all, hair on the sinks in the bathrooms. It made for a very poor presentation. I don't know if the cleaning staff has changed but, for the amount of money we pay for our week stay, this condition is completely unacceptable. Generally, the staff that manages the property is courteous and helpful, but there should be a check on the property after the cleaning is complete, to ensure is is done well.

Only issue was that the upstairs bedrooms can get a little warm at night; left ceiling fans going but still stuffy.

But the deck had been refinished and was fantastic as was the new tile floors on the main level. The layout for the bedrooms is great and they are plenty big enough - 2 upstairs and 1 on main level. Also the bedroom furniture is nice.
