Welcome to The Wright Suite at Third & Oak, a ground-level one-bedroom retreat nestled in the historic Wright-Murchison House, built circa 1870. Once home to Lucy Wright Murchison Giles and her daughter Lucile, this elegant space blends Wilmington’s rich heritage with modern comfort.

Inside, sunlight pours into a refined living space with vintage charm. A fully stocked kitchen with a gas stove invites home-cooked meals, and the serene bedroom offers restful nights after days of adventure. Two reserved parking spaces in our private lot—rare in downtown—make exploring effortless.

Perfect for couples or solo travelers, you’re just steps from the Riverwalk, boutique shops, cafes, and the best of Wilmington’s vibrant historic district. Stay where charm, comfort, and history meet—and park with ease.

We had previously stayed in a riverfront condo but we booked too late to snag one of those so we booked the wright suite and we could not have been more pleased. The on-site parking was a blessing as we were there the weekend of the inn fire so navigating the downtown area by car was difficult at best. We walked everywhere when downtown as we were only a few blocks from the pilot house restaurant. The bed was comfortable and all amenities provided for in the bathroom and kitchen. I'm sure we will book again if it's available on our next trek to Wilmington.
