Howe Wister State Park Hotels

"We had an okay time here. I must not be an RV girl I guess but the place was incredibly smaller than I anticipated. It was not a good place to come back and relax to as everything was so cramped. The bathroom was so small it was impossible to shower and get all of the sand off and I’m only 5’2 and 150 and could barely turn around in the shower. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and I did not get as much of a restful trip as I had hoped for. It was a close walk to the beach so that was nice. Because of the space, I would not return. There’s a restaurant across the street that played live music pretty loudly into the night so that was a bit distracting at night. The owner was nice. There was no deck on the RV like in the picture but that wasn’t a huge deal. "

"The house was clean, very cute and cozy. The main room down stairs was beautifully decorated with rib and shower. The upstairs loft had separate small "room" areas perfect for kids. It had Everything we needed to cook meals with basic staples. They provided coffee pods for keuireg and hot coco for the kids. There was cleaning supplies and laundry and dish detergent. The only complaint i have is we tried using the grill on the deck but it was dirty and we didn't find a cleaning brush for that. We had a wonderful peaceful stay and will come back when in the area. "

"We love this spot. It has a great view.It is really close to Runestone. The host is amazing. We are just minutes from everywhere... The pine trees are beautiful. The chairs out on the deck are comfortable. It would take us decades of being in this cabin to find something we didn't love."

"The hottub was excellent. The hotel itself is loud. The town of Poteau is a college town in a sea of fast food. However, it does have the historical distinction of being location to Bonnie & Clydes last heist. If you have to stay? This is the place. For food, Willy's Warehouse Steakhouse a few blocks down."
