Was my boyfriend’s birthday celebration and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was so nice. Great location. Parking too which is great in Hitchin. “The place is old, but not an issue. But the sheets weren't really clean and found a pubic hairs on my pillow. I slept in my day clothes. The facilities had free parking. I parked and asked reception during check in if that's the right place to park and they advice me yes. After return home from my business trip, I get a parking ticket from the hotel. I provided my receipts and prove I actually stayed there but yet they still insist to charge me with debt collection. Two night stay was……

“I paid 55 pounds. Excellent value for money. A very spacious room. The hotel shows its age, but it's clean and well looked after. I hghly recommend if you have a flight the next day and need somewhere comfortable to crash. ”

“Perfect for our one night stop-over enroute to another venue. It's quite a big, old building with some quirky features but we had everything needed in our room which was well presented. Staff were personable. Breakfast was good. The hotel sits on a one-way road system. It's compact car park is to the rear of the property. If you miss the hotel car park sign on approach and pass the hotel on your left, follow the one-way clockwise, turning left just before the hotel. ”

“Great little find. it was lovely to wake up and sit with a cuppa and see baby ducks, swans and squirrels. Peaceful, clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't try any of the facilities available as it was a one night pitstop but will be returning soon to try them out.”

“Nice mid-range hotel with excellent spa (best treatments we’ve had, at very fair price, though no pool). Excellent dinner in restaurant & good breakfast. Our room was on 3rd floor and, being an old building, there’s no lift. Room was ok, though a ‘standard’ double, not a queen / king. There’s no air-con, but a good floor standing fan. Good sized bathroom with large shower. We will certainly return here as the spa & food are so good. ”
