Aloha: An authentic houseboat just 14 minutes from Amsterdam and close to Zaanse Schans

Step aboard this beautiful ship from 1934, moored on the Zaan with a sweeping view of the historic river. This isn’t just any place to stay: you’ll experience life on the water, while large ships glide peacefully by every day.

The location is ideal. Within a two-minute walk, you’ll find yourself among authentic shops, cozy restaurants, and the train station. From here, you can easily travel to the Zaanse Schans or Amsterdam via direct train or bus connections.

You board the boat through the charming wheelhouse. This bright space features a comfortable dining area and seating, with panoramic views of the Zaan. It’s the perfect spot for breakfast in the morning sun, a good book, or a relaxing evening as river life passes you by. A staircase leads to the living area downstairs. Please note that this access is less suitable for people with limited mobility. The headroom inside is 1.85 cm.

The ship is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The kitchen features an induction cooktop, dishwasher, and microwave, among other appliances, so you can prepare delicious meals on your own. There is a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. The toilet is located on a raised floor and is therefore somewhat more compact in size.

There is a spacious bedroom with a double bed. In addition, there is a single bed in the area near the entrance to the shower and toilet; this can be closed off with a blackout curtain. For a fourth guest, there is a comfortable sofa bed.
A crib or high chair is available upon request

From early morning until late at night, you can enjoy the sun in two different outdoor areas: in the wheelhouse, on the sunny foredeck, or on one of the decks. Thanks to the efficient heating and climate control, the ship is a pleasant place to stay in any season.
